Ok, this is getting crazy! (t-map madness)

Ok so im on my 6th lvl 6 t-map of the morning, the first one went without a problem, then the next 4 i get the "you stop digging because you cannot see without your glasses bla bla bla", then the 6th one!!!

So according to all the pics ive seen of the location of the chest this one is in the water??

Am i missing something? iv dug every tile on that peak and no luck

Are they that random that even the game doesnt know where they put them?

Why didnt you just go farm 100s of treasure maps before the patch hit, decode them and use the rune library to locate them? EASY Pickings... If you didnt then you need to read Petra Fydes post on treasure chest hunting

for most of my tmaps, per a post I read here on stratics, I found you have to go to where the pin rests on the map (not the red bulb, the end of it), then you check it with zoom and match it to mapper program, and you start to go tile by tile NE (or east) --> and you should often get the location that way. seems like hardly any maps are at the exact location of the pin on the map, they are always a bit east or northeast... ... and judging from your pics, I'd say that yes, it does look like it is in the water :/.

that bandages idea is interesting though as a marker for checked tiles, or? hm.

I dont have a problem finding the locations, pretty easy actually, im saying in that pic the location of the chest seems to be in the water, and the previous 4 "bugged" t-maps ive had is just ridiculous, i dont want an easy way of finding treausre, i like the challenge but putting the treasure where you cant get to is just plain silly

I find it clever content, though maybe a bit annoying for the player.
Keeping he player occupied and in a month you can decode them again, maybe for a working spot.

The bandages mark north - south lines, i walk 20 tiles north to south then place a bandage at the end of each line so i dont go over that same line

You need Captain Drakes Flying and Submersing Contraption (Artifact rarity 20) to recover those treasure chests.
