OK so they made crabs and lobsters worth handing in.

So why in hell didn't they go that little bit further and do the same for these useless reward books?.

Yes one of each is useful for new fishermen but thats it. After that its even worse than getting more 'rare' fish baits that you don't need. I now have hundreds of each type of 'rare' bait that I cannot use because I have yet to get a 110 scroll. Being seemingly perma-stuck on 105 I am less than excited to receive yet another book which is totally worthless to me. At least if it could be handed in for a worthwhile amount of points it would not seem quite so bad.

When you get a fishing quest the reward is allegedly a rare reward from the guild. Well getting a collection of the same useless books is not my idea of a 'rare' or even worthwhile reward.

Don't you ever just want to hand it back to the fishmonger and say "Thanks but no thanks.... Gee I have this one.... ".... or something? I do. Infact I would like to hand him my 10 copies of #1 for a #3. *sighs* Though I am VERY happy they added crab and lobster to the turn in.

I took the books along when I handed in the lobsters, sold them to the scribe in the library for 7gp each :D

I agree wholeheartedly.

They were at it and they could have added also this useless "rare" books to be used as "turn ins" for Library Collectibles just like regular crabs and lobsters.

Of course, since the drop rate of the books is different, so the points they awarded should be different.

I hope they still make this possible.

really? turn them in for points? really?

how many you have to turn in to get a 100,000 reward?

how long fishing would it take to get that many crabs?

might be in year 2020 that you can collect a base reward

I think they should vamp up the fish turn in and the t-map turn in for more points - just my opinion

Agree with you there too, 10 points aint much but its something, I think it should have been more but......

I too wouldnt mind giving in 10 part ones or 10 part twos for a 3 but I guess I'm not going to get that till I turn in dungeon fish, not going to be able to do that till I get a 110, cant seem to get one of those cos I get 'rare' books and baits, so the circle goes round and round.

I would estimate 20k points would make them worth the effort and not make you feel that doing the quest was a complete and utter waste of time. Cant even gain in fishing either.

edit: come to think of it they could have made the baits turn-inable too I will NEVER use all the ones I have.

Well, I have already stocked up some 4,000 crabs and 4,000 lobsters which, at 10 points each, make 80,000 points.......

How about a quest by one of the fisherman at the Sea Market, for the full set of rare books. The reward could be a big bag filled with the Mento Seasoning, Samuel's Secret Sauce and Dark Truffles.

Also make the different types of Mess of Small Fish stackable!!!!!!
Please.... Pretty please????

I get lots of useless bait aswell. There are no yellowtail barracuda spawning here. Yet i still get the bait. ;)

I've stocked up on 100's of crabs and lobsters myself because I just couldn't toss them away... and I am VERY happy they are 10 points each not 1.

I count my lucky stars there. But I do agree some of the "rare" fish and the bait and the books ought to be worth turning in too.

Sorry nob question, just started the fishing part of the booster but, where do you turn these lobsters and crabs in at?

Plain crabs and lobsters had no use, they're not needed for the quests. In this publish they have been added to the accepted turn ins for the fisher at the library for the community collections.

If the devs meant for everything to have a purpose, then they wouldn't have invented the trash barrel. I will go so far to empathize that getting books with no cash payment does suck.

As I see it, the problem with useless "rare" fishing books is that often, the fishing orders that give them cost valuable fish, crabs and lobsters which take valuable playing time to catch.

So, throwing those books in the trash is not much different to spending hours fishing to then throw all of the caught up fish, named crabs and named lobsters to the trash barrell....

I mean, why would I spend time of my life fishing to then take those fish, those named crabs and those named lobsters and thrown them into a trash barrell ??

At least to me, it hardly makes any sense.

These books have no use, IMHO, the fish, crabs and lobsters it take to get them are just a total waste of players' time.

This is why many ask to include also these books as library turn ins for points. At least, fishermen would not feel they wasted their time, fish and crabs/lobsters when they got one....

Of course, since these books do not have all the same drop rarity, the points they award as Library Turn ins should differ largely.

Well I would love to see it changed so that stuff turned in to any collector would count on any other collector as far as adding points for the general rewards.
Not the glasses [/B ]just the shared rewards all collectors offer.

This way I can turn in the crabs to The Fisherman, the sea serpent scales to The Tamer, and the horned leather from same to the Master of trades.

Combine this with some of the now fairly useless boards and certain ingots I have around the house and I might be able to get a Primer on arms damage
or some other useful tally.

Remember I said only on the shared rewards Not The Glasses

:please:

Oh I can agree the harder to get books should be worth more points. Perhaps eventually they will give the library turn in's an overhaul and perhaps add more spiffy items to them.
