Ok, I'm Game.. What's needed?

Lady Raja and Freja have pursuaded me... I'll give Siege a go when I return home and resubscribe.

I'm primarily a crafter/harvester. What types of crafters do you guys think are needed most on Siege? I'm up for almost anything.

And, if you can spread the word that Coldren or Thayn (Not sure which name I'm using yet) is going to have NO combat skills, RP's, and plans to be a crafter so please do not gank me, I'd be very appreciative! :)

When you get in game ask in gen chat for an Emissary from NEW2. As for whats needed crafter wise just about everything works around here. Armor/weapons, Deco, potions it all sells from what i have seen lol.

Welcome Colden or Thayn! :D

Everyone is always looking for Gems, Leather and imbueing resources. Like Montie1123 said, look for any leader of NEW2. There is a high demand on Siege for Imbuers.

*claps*

:mylittlepony:Thanks!

P.S.
Can anyone direct him with more information? I only get my outfits by request from one person... ;)

Welcome to Siege!

Since you are going with no combat skill, the gathering part of imbuing ingreds is kinda limited. But as Raja said: Regular gems, leather and some plant productions (mainly seeds of renewal) sell very well.
I have made quiet a sale with highly imbued suits (450 property weight and above on pieces) but have not gotten much gold out of it since I sell them for what they cost me. If you wanna go down that lane, I will cease my "dumping-price-policy" and leave that market to you!

When you get skilled up, let's hook up and talk business.

Welcome again, glad you found your way!

I too would like to spend some time meeting with other crafter vendors. Get a feel for pricing structures on crafter made goods. I'm into the 80'a on the first of my trade skills pre soulstone save for imbuing which is only at 50 right now.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone, and the advice!

You can get a lot of Imbuing mats from Lumberjacking, Mining, and Fishing.. Granted not some of the rarer ones, but the more common ones (Dark Sapphires, White Pearls, etc.). Even regular gems you get from mining that you can normally buy (Diamonds, Amber, etc.) I imagine will sell well on a vendor if you out price the NPC. And Wolfman, I doubt I'll compete much with you at all. I have no aspirations to run a vendor anytime soon (Time being limited), but I'll be happy to be a supplier of mats for you, if you have need.

I will eventually do Imbuing, but starting off, I'll probably pick up Mining/Tinkering/BS/LJ/Fishing to start gathering and raising, and will probably throw in 2 combat skills for harvesting leathers and the like. Don't think I'll be getting powerscrolls any time soon. Heck, on the prodo shards, I think the only 120 scroll I have is for my Blacksmithing.

I'm not going to keep as is. If this goes well, I'll invest in some soul stones and grow my "portfolio", but was just looking at what I can do from the start to help fill any holes in the local economy.

[Edit]

Actually, you guys have given me pause.... Should I start the character as a crafter/harvester, then later pick up something for PvE, or start with PvE, and then use money and materials saved to convert to crafting?

Hmm... Quite the quandary for me.

Take a look at the community vendors in New Magincia, they will buy alot of the stuff you get from lumbering, mining and killing animals. NEW2 have a house in New Magincia

Start with what you like to play, If you like being a crafter, start with that and maybe magery for gating and EV's.
We have some nasty Dark Wisps, who love killing newbies, guarding their corpes and rez kill them. They are far more nasty than our PK's

I would say get MAGERY up to GM so you can cast EV's and Invis - other 6 skills do any crafting and dont forget mining ;)
Why EV's? Well, you can drop 2 at the Covetous Level 3 entrance at off times and get yourselfe some artis for unraveling

At least i would do that ;)

AWESOME!!! We need more crafter/vendors!! Imbuing is needed, but do not overlook selling common things needed for pirating!

I prefer the ones who scream the loudest :)
Ha!

Well, I won't be screaming. In fact, you'll have a harder time killing an NPC sheep than you would myself.

Are you type of person that kills harmless, defenseless sheep for a scream that never comes? HUH? ARE YOU?!!

... Nevermind.. Don't answer that. :D

I'll be sure to run from you in the game!

Welcome to Siege...Lemme know what ya need and I'll rummage thru my box of crafting talismans and turn you on to whatever - jewelry also. My crafters always have melee/mage skills to help out on the gathering end of stuff. Being able to waste those dark wisps with a guy running with 120 tailor is great. Again...welcome to Siege.
