The name is different between the room and chat history box. Anyone else getting this or notice?

Odd name change from room to chat

They typed the name in.....our names do not normally appear in our text line, only in the chat dialog window.

Not if they're off screen.
ETA: If a sim is not on your screen, their name shows up in the chat bubble. When you have them in your screen, the name isn't shown. See pic below. This is on TC3.

I've seen this happen when the Avatar has chagned their name recently.

Yeah it has always taken a maintnance after namechange to also kick in in chat

Well, that can't be it. Richardi just changed his name and I see it fine. Maybe it only effects certain sims?

Usually when someone just recreates or changes their name that happens.

It happened to me as well a while back. It just takes a while for the name change to propagate. If it isn't properly registering after a maintenance cycle, then you've got yourself a bug to report to [email protected] .
