Noob Soul Stone Question

I really hate to ask this question and I guess it's clear that my previous stints on Siege didn't include much soul stone use.

Does the soul stone that I have store only one skill or up to 100 points of multiple skills? I know I need another one also. Perhaps I'm missing something and I really couldn't figure it out by reading the Stratics front page. Just working too much.

A soulstone will store a single skill of whatever value.

And yes, a single soulstone is of limited value as you will need to take a skill off your template before transferring one back on, unless of course you are prepared to trash a skill(s).

Always be ULTRA careful when making soulstone transfers. When transferring a skill from a soulstone, ensure that you have enough free points to absorb the full value of a skill and that the skill's pointer is facing upward.

you need 1 extra soul stone always
if your storing 6 skills you need 7 stones. always 1 blank one for when you transfer.
i always keep mine in a secure container as you dont want to be unlocking / locking them down because you might forget to lock it down if in a locked down container.

if you have mixed level of skills 80-120 then you might end up needing 2 blank soul stones.

if you rarely use a skill you may want to use the limited soul stone or the crafted ones.

the warnings on them are pretty good now to keep you from messing up.

It would be cool if we could combine stones that belong to the same account. Doubleclick one, target another. Tadahhh .. you get a stone with 2 skills. When you remove one skill you simply have an empty slot on that stone. I'd love that feature. Should work like a Runebook and have a WAY smaller graphics. Somehow i cant fit those stones into a proper decoration.

Thanks all for the info. I have been trying to figure out my strategy for getting a smith/imbuer and think that I will just create a new char and mothball my tamer that I don't use much.

If anyone is selling one of the fragments let me know what you want for it. I also didn't realize that soul stones could be crafted. Do the frags and the crafted ones also only store one skill? I thought I remember the frags storing multiple skills but only having like 5 uses.

Just trying to prep myself for a whole weekend off with a new char come tomorrow morning and appreciate any other feedback.

The fragments work like real soulstones with 5 charges. It costs 1 charge to get the skill from the fragment.

I never crafted a fragement so that part someone else got to explain.

Single-use Soulstone Fragments can be crafted by players with at least 70.0 Alchemy skill, knowledge of glassblowing and the Stygian Abyss expansion. The required ingredients are 2 Void Essence and 2 Crystal Granules. This single-use fragment is freely tradeable among players until a skill is stored in it, at which point only the orignal account can reclaim the skill among characters under that account.

just note that your bank will be deleted so move everything out of that.
you lose all stat and pw scrolls

you gain ability to recraft your char as a different type and rename
