No Stealth Day?

Well, I no longer play, I deactivated my account a few months back, but I think it would be a great player event to have a no stealth day. Now sure some wont follow it, but as a whole if most ran no stealth for a day, it could show some life in the shard.

If people will not be running stealth, PKs will be out for sure. So wear suits you can afford to loot, and PKs loot lightly. This will also bring out the Anti-PKs. As a whole, we might see more people on.

use it as a test, or modify the idea, just a thought im throwing out. Maybe tie it in with a come to siege event.

I'm afraid I have never bought this "everyone uses stealth" thing that is always being banded about. I will usually use stealth at an IDOC to keep myself alive and in certain PvE situations - getting the Mel keys or looking for the Abyss stealables say - but otherwise it is just a waste of a skill. And I don't know that many guildmates who use it as a matter of routine apart from tamers.

I agree, I found as a tamer, it was nice to go and scope out pets etc. But most of the time I never ran it. But several use it as an intergral part of thier templates. A skill they never take off.

But in my years on siege, I knew a lot of people who used it, and watched a lot use it. Im not saying everyone uses it, but a good number do. Turn it off for a day, and lets see the difference? Prove it one way or another. And whats a day of getting PKed maybe. Just dont wear anything you cant afford to lose, or dont want to lose.

I've invested 120 of my precious skill points in stealth for surprise, defense, and damage. I will not "turn it off" since it's an integral part of my build. However, I would be willing to shelf the character for a day and only play my tamer without stealth. Sounds fun.

Every day is "no stealth day" for me on Siege. None of my three characters has stealthing. I figured that with my luck, it wouldn't help me most of the time anyway so why waste skill points on it.

Ok, let us do this experiment... but let this be May 1, to May 7 2011, an entire week.

It is concidered to be criminal to use the skill Stealth. Caught stealthing, you may be killed and dry looted, also name is posted for such shameful activities. Hiding is allowed. Ok trackers get busy on these days.

We need two trackers to accuse a player and screen shots are possible.

I'll do it if everyone agrees to pretend to not seem me for about 30-45 seconds while i walk up to them, snoop their pack, use a skill to target an item, wait out the timer, and prepare. Oh, you can't move either, taking a step means i need to start over :/

Personally I'd rather see a "no tamer" or "no myst-mage" week

No, dont have a no loot policy. Thats against what seige stands for. It would be nice to see light looting. IE, dont take an MR1, 70s LRC suit, when your running 2x the mods. Unless you need it. And dont take everything, like tools from a crafter, if you dont need them. but thats always how I felt, just thought dry looting was saved for certain people, and certain situations. Take whats needed, and useable, leave the rest.

There is a difference between drylooting and normal looting.

Yes, some people always dryloot as normal... do not expect me to enforce the unenforcible. Just remember if nothing is gained in this experiment it will not be repeated.

Sounds like fun...ill need to check my dexer for current skills but may be fun to get rid of tracking and detect hidden and actually have some more offense minded skills again
