What does " 2 hr snipe extend " mean?

If someone bids at 47 hours 59 minutes the auction automatically extends for another 2 hours. Hence you can not snipe the auction bidders by getting in your bid at the last second.

I figured as much, and am familiar with the concept. My question was more directed to the time frame. 2 hours is too long IMO. Y'all have fun. I will pass.

Then feel free to bid. I feel it is too long. I was interested. but I don't want to be "tied" to my computer for 2 hours at the end (every time the item(s) get "bumped). Which is why I am not bidding.
