No more vagabonds in Ilshenar?

Because I'm a real cheapskate I prefer to buy my gems for imbuing training in Ilshenar where you often can find them for the base price at the temporary gypsy camps.

Since last patch I have been unable to find the socalled 'vagabond' NPC that would sell gems; their inventory is identical to 'jeweller' from town shops, as far as I can tell. Instead there seems to be provisioners.

So has anyone seen the old type 'vagabond' in Ilshenar recently or know what this is about?

They're still spawning, but they don't spawn with every gypsy camp. Other than the banker and the fortune teller, the other 3 gypsies are random as to whether or not they'll spawn. You just have to keep checking the spawn locations to see if a new camp has spawned and if there's a vagabond there.

Yep - 10-12 random spots, 3-5 active at any given time. Only the Fortune Teller and Banker are Guaranteed to be at any given spot - the other 3 are random - could have all 3, or none of them, or anything in between.

The two Gypsy towns in the desert have vagabonds, but those are permanent NPCs, and only reset their prices when there's a vendor wipe. Then again, given that you risk entanglement with para rotting corpses, Lich Lord and Efreets to get to them, it's a coin flip as to whether there's much shopping at them on any given shard (only one of those two camps has a bank).

I have pretty good luck finding jewelers in Felucca that aren't run up to high prices.

i get my sewing supplies in fel also. bolts of cloth at 1/3 the price of tram

ok so is there a map of gypsy spawn locations in ilsh so i can begin visiting them?

also i dont know the market, what are the rock-bottom prices on things we should look for?

There's only 10 coordinates, and if other shards are like Pacific, the one below the Healer Hut near Valor champ hasn't spawned in a year or more. The patch that changed vendor buy/sell pricing broke that spot.

Yeah - I left the Valor one on the list, in the off chance it ever started working again.

The original version of the page in question was actually missing all 3 Compassion area random camps.
