No More ML Gems?....... really?

I am refering specifically to the Curators quest "putting the pieces together" that requires you to turn in 5 tattered Remnants of an ancient scroll.

I did a couple of them today and there are no more ML Gems, or White Pearls or Perfect Ambers in the bags now. They were about the only reason to actually even pick up the tatterd Map frags. People are tossing the books but for the rare ones, and they are not worth much anyway. ONE Luminecent fingi or Parasitic plant, and about 5 regular gems, not really worth the effort to pick up (waste of time), when I can just go buy 500 at a time.

I really hope this in an error, it eliminated the only other way to get the ML gems, ambers, and Pearls.

I did not check the pottery frag or Ancient Tome quests. What they did to Navrey, for no apparent reason "shakes head" ,was totally unneccesary.

I turned in all of mine a 2-3 weeks ago and it was working. Haven't turned in any recently.

But if it's happening, I suspect a bug (hope it's not due to my stacking request, or I'd feel bad). I mean they have been adding extra alternate ways for different templates to get resources, which are working great. Doesn't make sense to do all that and remove one of the ways to do this.

I just turned in ten of the ancient pottery fragments and yes, it does look like Axem's rewards may have been toned down. What a surprise! (sarcasm, btw)

This morning he handed out four gems, a book, and 3342 gold and gave a teeny loyalty bump.

I checked my post from 9/11 (http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=156947) and it looks like that particular quest with the pottery fragments might not have included anything else (e.g., ML gems, parasitic plant, etc.). (Kiminality did report getting a white pearl.) However the gem quantity seems to have been reduced.

I did the pottery and scroll remnant quests yesterday, for the purpose of creating a quest guide for it. I didn't have a tome unfortuneatly. I got no special gems in the meager bag but 2 white pearls in the dusty bag.

Some dude probably figured out how to script the quest and the rest of us get to pay the price for their cheating. It's the way UO always works.

Same results with the meager bag. The meager bag is even more meager now? I guess thats funny on some level.

A guildmate did the ancient tomb quest last night, and reported getting the ML gems in that bag. I did not think to ask if the amount of gold was the same.

Also, glad to see I was wrong about the White pearls at least in the scroll fragment quest reward bag. Any one get any Brilliant Ambers from the bag?

And yup, Miner. Time to hit the hills and mine for them gems.

Nyses, you are correct with the Mondain's Legacy not being in the vase quest.
HOWEVER, Five Ancient Scrolls (Big Gems drops varies) and Ancient Tome quests do have the Mondain Legacy Gems in it. So YES, they have big gems. No big gems for Pottery fragments, If you dont believe me i found this link that proves what i said is true...
