that wasnt my question.Try xfering to a different shard?
Asking here useless post on official forum in NL sectionthat wasnt my question.
i am loyal to my home shard and have no intention of stranding a character on a shard i do not play.
If I were in charge I would make another character slot available for $49.95...have they mentioned anything about this? would i really want to devote time and effort to playing NL if i cant transfer off at the end of the season due to full character slots on my regular shard.
I think you underestimate the expendable income of most UO players. No one paying 50 bucks for a 7x gm toon
That is a pretty bold statement for someone that does not speak for anyone other than themselves. No one paying 50 bucks for a 7x gm toon
I'd damn sure pay that to put it on Siege as a second slot. Just sayin . . .That is a pretty bold statement for someone that does not speak for anyone other than themselves.![]()
YES but it is not requiredJust seeing this post - I wasn't aware that you will be able to transfer a character off NL at all - do we know this is actually the case?
do not think so. If you decide to leave your Char on NL understand the NL Server will be wiped and only your char will survive with it skills/stats intact.I didn't know that - will we be able also to transfer that character back to NL when a new season starts?
Each season supposed to be a fresh start having already developed characters would be a huge advantagedo not think so. If you decide to leave your Char on NL understand the NL Server will be wiped and only your char will survive with it skills/stats intact.
Guess you never paid attention to what the DEVs say. This has been known for a long time. A huge advantage for what, you think people are gonna sell **** on this shard for real money, what a friggin joke it is a shard to play for fun. OMG he was a Tamer before me WHA WH WHA.Each season supposed to be a fresh start having already developed characters would be a huge advantage
Where do you see this magical information?Guess you never paid attention to what the DEVs say. This has been known for a long time. Ah it was maybe 345 I recall now ! There is one of two reasons we don't have informationi believe it was posted in a thread 4 years ago. try to keep up LOL![]()
Will this be free?
I know I'm labeled a whiny malcontent but honestly isn't this something we should have a definite answer for by now?I would assume so but there has been no definitive answer.
There are many things we should have definite answers on by now. What happens after the tutorial? What is the build your legacy part of the season? If it's just to create a fresh start every X period, why not wipe everything, including characters? If there is no race or goal for the season and thus no reason to wipe characters, then what is the ultimate point of NL? The only thing stated is that it will bring the most significant influx of new players seen - ok, great, how are we doing that?I know I'm labeled a whiny malcontent but honestly isn't this something we should have a definite answer for by now?
That sounds logical. It seems to me they want to start each new season on NL fresh but they want to encourage NL players who don't already have characters on UO to transfer over to UO and play there.
We do not know yet. I can hear the crying if they do. Players don't like the dark nights now, I do not see them liking to have to wear other armor at different times of year.On a side note, did weather-related impacts make it in?
I mean, everyone needs a hobby . . .I know I'm labeled a whiny malcontent but honestly isn't this something we should have a definite answer for by now?
Transfer one of your characters to another shard via shield or buy a transfer token between now and when the actual NL shard ends. That sounds logical. It seems to me they want to start each new season on NL fresh but they want to encourage NL players who don't already have characters on UO to transfer over to UO and play there.
For players new to UO, NL could be the fast start for building new characters to GM - if they are willing to pay for it - I can't imagine transfers will be free - but who knows.
For those of us who already have full rosters on UO, I don't see any advantage of keeping the NL character - but that doesn't seem to be the point anyway.
I think rolling things out in stages is a smart idea so they can kind of control what people are testing. The only concern from me on that is that they might not have left enough time to do that if they are going live with NL in another 4-6 weeks? My guess is that the first season of NL will probably be a very trimmed down version of whatever they were initially thinking; of course that's all speculation since the Dev team purposefully never really gave us a ton on what NL was going to be.they seem to be rolling things out in stages. everything they said they would do is not all turned on at once , which is probably good so they can adjust as we go. the go live NL should be "better" than what we are experiencing now.
Agreed. There are many things we should have definite answers on by now. What happens after the tutorial? What is the build your legacy part of the season? On a side note, did weather-related impacts make it in? That was one of the first "it's going to be awesome" things they talked about was how weather was going to play a role. All of this is project and user base management 101.
