(Next tip) Fastpath-Interleaving

This is for DSL lines.
First the Geek explanation then a simple explanation

Interleaving is an error correction protocol that they place on your line at the DSLAM. When Interleaving is enabled the DSLAM can correct problems in the data stream it gets before the data gets to you're router. This is placed on on noisy or marginal lines and can greatly increase youre connection and remove "first hop" packet loss.
In other words it will help with disconnects but your ping times will suffer.
Gamers don't like it.

Fastpath allows the DSLAM to pass the data received from you to the first hop router without any error correction. The problem marginal lines could experience an increase in packet loss and frequent disconnects.
But Gamers love it as it will increase you're ping times.

Now if you have dsl and you're line margin-noise margin is not horrible I suggest calling youre provider and see if you can be placed on Fastpath. You can check marginal noise in youre router-modem settings.
If on fastpath especially for the pvp out there your speed will probably increase enough to be called a speed hacker more often.
But if you're line has too much noise then fasthpath will pretty much ruin your online experience. Ask to speak to a level 2 or higher tech don't bother with level 1s and see if fasthpath is possible with you're connection.

You can also check on you're modem settings if you are on a interleave or fasthpath connection.
