Next Rares festival

I don't have a plan anymore
my plans will be returned to a blank slate and withdrawn.
I apologize to some of my friends and members of the local community ,who personally I asked for support.


I want to see if anyone else has plans to run a Rare Fest soon?
I would like to run one in January 2022 on one of the Asian shards.
I need the help of the community to run a successful fest, please let me know if you can help me out.

thank you for all you do with regards to rares and rares fests

I struggle with Asian shards as I am not old enough to have shard shields, not going to say anything about wanting some in the store as it turns into a flame fest.

I found the last fest a little disappointing, not in any way by the organisers etc, but the fact that many of the traders just moved all the crap they could not sell in ATL and inflated the prices hoping to sell there. So unless it was extortionately expensive, the rares there was very little exciting items for sale, of course thats my opinion.

Not to mention far to much non rare vendors selling crap you can easily pick up in ATL

Mostly the really poor tacky looking crap the EM's churn out on a regular basis and nothing really good for a collector like me.

Sadly I think all the olde stool traders are gone, or keeping what they have.

So if there is a new fest I hope that there will be exciting items, particularly paintings for my gallery, but NOT at stupid prices.......

My observations were that the sellers did not bring anything to your festival, just junk form ATL, it is in no way a reflection on your great work. I hope you do arrange another festival. I just hope that the vendors appreciate the work that you put in and actually brings things to sell and good prices. thats my point from last time.

You could always vet the items before to check they are decent. Would take a monumental amount of work though… and how do you enforce any items that you haven’t allowed if they bring them anyway ? Ban them from next rares fest ? It would also be tricky stopping people overcharging… but assuming they are going to be on vendor rental contracts or on safes owned by one person, an organiser of the fest, you may be able to police this. I guess it’s all about how much time and effort you put in and whether or not you don’t mind pissing people off who want to unload their junk at extortionate prices

At previous festivals I hosted, there were people who got vendor space, people who got auction safe spots, and many who submitted auction items.
You said they brought junk, I disagree with it.

sold 40 platinum and 882 million gold in the house run by Norrington
and sold 33 platinum and 415 million gold one I did was
We have 74p and 297m in total sales At the silent auction house.

Compared to the list created by Nails, you can see that it had the second highest sales of any rare festival in the last decade.
also I think that the sales at the auction safe that are not recorded there also performed better than any festival so far.
I disagree with your opinion that many of them are junk

I have to say from my personal point of view, the majority of what I saw there were good quality items but I did see a few items on rental vendors that were actually higher than atl prices and not that special really but that’s what those vendors are mainly for the lower end rares you see fairly often. I’m just wondering if the prices for those items were like that because they were on rental vendors not commission vendors so they were having to recoup the cost of vendor fees ? Maybe a suggestion is to submit all items to the house owner so they be put up on commission vendors instead ?

I have no way to stop it. because I don't like the price of one piece of bread you sell I just expect you to lower the price by lining up some recent trading examples. haha

As a matter of fact, I have seen some items and refused to receive them. Well, but it's almost helpless
Some people have houses near the festival site to get out of those restrictions.

Of course, I'm assuming that, and I'll fill the two screens around the house I'm using at the festival with a house that doesn't have vendors or safeboxes.
Now that we have vendor searc, it's not very effective, but well, it's one of the few ways you can counter them.That's the slightest resistance I can do

i think many people dont know we have commission vendors service because the person in charge and I, didn't a dvertise it well.
It's a huge amount of work, so I think it's best to limit it to a few items per person.

I think you can get some quite decent things up to 175m, like the faction morph earrings that Arch was selling and a lot of other cool stuff too. What I mean by non special is basically the stuff that jack was referring to, the rares that there are 50,60,100 of out there that would normally sell for 40-60m but were up on a vendor for 175m. Basically the stuff that there are multiple of on vendor search on ATL. Thankfully these items aren’t the majority though. What did tickle me was that there was an item I had sold on atl the week before on a safe at a mark up of about 400%… fair play to them if they managed to sell it for that.

The last fest was not that bad tbh, wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either. Baja Fest of 2020 was the most recent flop in my view (except for website which was quite nice), there was only one auction house from the venue and Tokuno was overrun with a dozen collectors running their own private auction safe house... there was no sense of community and didn't feel like a fest, more like a greedy flea market. Fact is you can't please everyone but I like the idea and timeframe @blend, let's have that asian fest and I'll be there

All you have to do is not criticize anything.
For a moment, I think we should forget about personal interests and something, think about how to liven up such a festival, and how to make this a successful community event.

Don't complain because you can't buy what you want cheaply
Do you only think about yourself?
You can put any good item there at a cheap price.
Why don't you do that for liven up the festival?

If you don't have a way to get there, you should make friends
Many people now have shields.
Everyone will be happy to help you

I have hosted 5 festivals in the last 10 years and have been supporting as a staff member at several other festivals.
I intend to do these things as a community event.
but some members of the same community call it a junk festival here.
This is the greatest insult to me and I don't want to spend my personal money and time on things like this in the future.
Probably I won't be involved in this anymore

Please understand I did NOT call your fest junk, not at all, not here or ICQ, I have said that a lot of traders brought junk that cant sell on ATL. This is true as I saw it for myself.

This is NOT a reflection on the great work you do, and I don't want you to be upset at all. And like I say I apologise profusely as I have offended you, and I regret that as we have been trading for many, many years.........

I was not, and never will criticise you and your hard work. I love the festivals and hope you can see it to run another.

As I said, my problem, is with non rare traders bringing junk and overpriced EM items that cant sell normally.

Please consider this, you have no control of what others bring and I for one think THEY let you and the festivals you run down.

Less is more as far as I am concerned. If people do not have nice rares to sell, that are not littering ATL and not selling because they are junk, they should NOT litter your festival with them.

As you know I collect paintings for my art gallery and neon gift boxes and exciting items that replicate in game items, small soul force EM items, fountain of Iife EM items, Medusa looking EM items, Music boxes etc. These are what I look for personally for my collections.

I am very disappointed to see EM junk that does not sell littering the fest and with even more inflated prices.

Come on people. where's the good stuff?

I love the rares fest. I think last year was great i got many items, i wish i would of bid more on a few . I got some "cheap" rares on vendors and got some that cost way more on safes. I smile everytime i see my abominable snowman holding a bugger brush to wash dishes in my goblin kitchen. Didnt even know i needed it til i seen it. I look forward to shopping at the rares fest. Im glad there are cheaper items before the auction houses open up. Thanks for all the time, gold and hard work you put into these. Please keep having these. thanks and enjoy

Your recent festival was lovely Blend. It was very ambitious in scale and length, and your hosting skills were amazing! If you pick another Asian shard I'm sure I'll be forced to select a new shard shield.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the way the vendor houses ran and policing them won't help visitors - there are players with all sorts of budgets coming to these so every item does not need to be top tier, or things unavailable on Atl. There were sub-175M EM items found on vendors at the fest that I developed a new-found desire to obtain. It's up to the buyer whether they want to price check elsewhere first. Even the non-rare vendors are nice to shop through - I'm just as happy getting an uncommon costume missing from my set, or a rarer white statue as I am some 500M+ EM rare.

Returned to the game last year-ish, first rare festival happened to be on my shard, truly enjoyed the event (even though I'm too broke to buy most the stuff...).

Still, very enjoyable since I can ogle on the rares I never knew existed.
Also, truly love the Festival lantern at the end of event, permanent spot on my mannequin. Looking forward for another fest.

And, thank you for organizing community event, always appreciate when people willing to spend their time and effort for it.

It is ok to share your opinion. You didn't say anything in a super rude way, you didn't use any foul language, you didn't do anything wrong. I understand feeling bad....maybe the language barrier makes it hard to understand exactly what you were saying. That isn't your fault tho and I don't think you have to feel bad. I read his comments hundreds of times and pondered this. But I stopped executing the plan because I didn't have a solution to what he said.

As others say, I may not understand what he is saying.
Still, I read and thought about his comments his hundreds of times in an attempt to understand his words . I have no solution to his problem .
There is no essential solution, but I still commented on my opinion.
I can ignore his opinion his and hold a festival, but after that he will say the same again. I don't want to see it.

I guess its how you interpret it. And you are right there is nothing Blend can do about what people bring over, I think Jack was just venting, but he did specifically say it had nothing to do with Blend.

The amount of work that goes into these events is huge and everyone here knows Blend throws some of the best. If Blend enjoys doing this he should continue to do so. One persons opinion or everyone's for that matter shouldn't stop anyone from doing what they enjoy.

And if he does I for one will be attending, and bringing some decent moderately priced items lol.

I read it and felt like he wanted a "Jack Fest" (no pun intended). What everyone needs to.realize is not everyone shops atl or has access to items on atl. If there is a ton of stuff there that doesn't sell on atl that is OK! Some people might be happy to find these items and to even pay more than they would be on Atlantic. Its an event for the community and what one person thinks is "overpriced junk" might be a treasure to someone else. I would personally appreciate another festival, but also I think you are taking this a bit too harsh blend. You can't let one persons opinion affect you so much. You will always be let down if so. Just my thoughts and I hope you are able to host another festival. Even if I don't find some Uber rare item for cheap I guarantee you I will enjoy it. Thank you.
