The City of Noble's Hold is Recognized
On Monday, April 5th, in a grand ceremony lead by our fair Queen Dawn, The City of Noble’s Hold, developed by the members of the guild, Keepers of Ruatha Hold, was declared a proper city and hence forth, will be officially recognized by our Queen, and by the citizens of Origin.
Although the ceremony to recognize The City of Noble‘s Hold just recently took place, this united group of Korh members had established their town over three years ago here on Origin and have long been considered a cornerstone of our community.
Lead by the honorable Lady Tasmin Blight, Korh is 146 members strong and is in fact, the largest guild at this time on our shard. Founded on the concepts of honesty, trust, friendship, and honor, Korh members have always strived to provide a sense of community to Origin and to help those in need. Whether it be newcomers to the shard, or veteran citizens, Korh members go far and beyond their duty to be of assistance.
After meeting with Queen Dawn and her secretary, Bertha Beaudreau, and declaring their loyalty to the throne, a tour and inspection of the town was lead by Lady Tasmin Blight and guild member, Lord Achilles. Lady Sara, Lady Crystal Canyon, and Lord Baciver also joined the group, anxious to learn more about the new city of Noble’s Hold.

During the tour, much was learned about the vast history of Korh and how they came to be one of Origin’s oldest and most respected guilds.
Originally established in 1999 on Baja, by Lady Sheela, Korh members were excited about the opportunities the new lands of Origin were to offer. Longing for new beginnings, the group migrated to Origin during the first week of it’s birth and established their first community in Felucca, near the Covetous entrance. One of the original castles still stands erect just north of Vesper and is occupied by Korh’s present Guild Leader, Lady Tasmin blight.
During their first year on Origin, Korh’s guild underwent numerous changes and overcame many obstacles. Leadership changed and Lady Tasmin Blight was elected to lead the group as their new Guild Master in 2005.
According to Lady Tasmin, this was a lively time for their members who often offered assistance to miners in the area that were being attacked. Given their location and the fact that the notorious guilds, BTH and The Killer Bees also occupied land nearby, Korh kept busy and soon was known throughout the land for their commitment to helping those in need.
Many of the original founding guild members such as Lady Tasmin, Lessa, Samantha, Tink, Goodgulf, Lady Desdemona, Matthew, Achilles, Pilby, Moreta, and many others, still remain loyal to the guild and continue to this day to provide services and assistance to the good people of Origin.
At the present, 18 houses make up The City of Noble’s Hold and are open to the public for use in training, lodging, library searches, and other useful amenities.
Below is a slide show that gives an example of some of the homes and businesses that were toured during the ceremony at Noble’s Hold. There are many more homes not shown here, and some because the owners of these homes are away fighting in distant lands of the real world. Though not here in character, they are here in the hearts of their guild mates.

Intentionally left out of the slide show are pictures of the inside of the “Fun House” that lies not far from the city. This house was built by one of the longest standing members of Korh, Archangel, and it is just as a the title suggests…a “fun” house. It is filled with all sorts of traps and fun things to see. Everyone is encouraged to go see this house in person to get the maximum enjoyment from it.
In conclusion of the ceremony, many ideas were discussed for future plans of The City of Noble’s Hold, including activities and events that would be offered to the entire shard. As always, Lady Tasmin’s first thoughts were that of which would best benefit the citizens of Origin.
The fair Queen Dawn and her humble, yet very persnickety secretary, Bertha, gave some insight into what was yet to come with the development of cities on Origin, and then soon thereafter, bid farewell. Those present, were grateful to have been in such royal company and were honored that the Queen and Bertha had chosen to be a part of the history of Noble’s Hold.
There is much to look forward to from the members of Korh, and as Lady Tasmin said, “It’s never about what we could gain, but what we could bring to the game.”
