Your staunch reporter, Cherry Delite, had a chance to sit down with the Wolf King, Myrddin Ab’Arawn, leader of the Stonegate Guild. “We left Umbra seeking to find a place to call our own.” Stonegate lies in the midst of the mountains north of Luna and spreads over nearby valleys. The kingdom is made up by people of many races: human and lycan, as well as others.
Stonegate is a warrior nation, not by profession but by way of life, beliefs. Everyone in the kingdom is a warrior from the soldier on the battlefield to the cook. The Kingdom of Stonegate seeks to rid the world of weakness. Not weakness of strength but weakness of character: political corruption, greed, cowardice. They firmly believe in reason, self-discipline and strength of will. Strength of arms is as important as strength of character. “A balance as it were, that every warrior should strive for. “
Myrddin was chosen as leader because he can trace his lineage to the great Wolf King. This king held a Stone of Power and united the lycan. Myrddin now holds the same stone and seeks to continue his ancestors work. He was converted to lycan before he joined Umbra by another of the same bloodline. He left Umbra to found Stonegate. Being bitten is the most common means of conveying lycanthropy. “It is a carefully regimented and controlled blessing. Lycanthropy is not meant for all.” But lycanthropy can also be passed down from a parent. If both parents are lycan, it is an almost certainty the offspring will be lycan as well.
