So Dudley. The entire shard wants to know. Where have you been?
Dudley:
Canada. Eh? Exploring Shipwrecks.
So since you were in Canada and said Eh?.... Are you Neo of Lothlore?
Dudley:
It's quite nice there this time of year and the
poutine is quite delicious.
Recent Uhall Posts show Chesapeake not to happy with
its EM staff. What do you have to say about this?
Dudley:
It's unfortunate that there are those that are unhappy with how things are
going. I did read the feedback. It's important for people to understand that
while we are employees this is not our primary career. We put in as much
time as we can on top of what we are required to do. In order to bring
stimulating and fun experiences. That will suite all manner of playstyles.
Many Chesapeake citizens are unable to follow the Commander Foxx
Quests. Only a select few know anything about it. Does our EM staff plan to
have different ways to learn about the Commander Foxx Quests?
Dudley: I wouldn't call it a secret. And I certainly wouldn't characterize there
being a select few who are involved in said quest lines.
When 8/10 people don't know who Commander Foxx is....
I find it to be a select few.
Dudley:
We utilize a number of ways to disseminate Information. The advertisers,
Scrolls, Criers and so forth. But nothing beats good old fashioned word of
mouth. You guys are the news makers after all. *Grins*
Tell me, New Haven City seems to be the only ones
knowing about Commander Foxx. Why is that?
Dudley:
Perhaps the citizens of New Haven are more well read then other citizens?
*Shrugs* Commander Foxx was introduced at a Hall of Commons meeting
initially. Which are open to the public and I encourage all citizens to
attend them.
Perhaps that is my own fault. I am not welcome around most of
the --- members who you meet with in New Haven.
Dudley:
I also find that New Haven has the attentive and active
population of players.
With that in mind. Do you find the New Haven population to be
around the same people? Does it change much in the guild abbv
you see and player names?
Dudley:
I find there to be a core group of players that attend the Hall
of Commons meetings regularly.
And when was the last Hall of Commons Meeting?
Dudley:
Shortly before the King blew up the hall.
So.... a month ago?
Dudley:
Which I didn't think was very nice of him. Ruined my prized tulips *grumbles*
I am not trying to hurt you Dudley. These
are just questions on many peoples minds.
Dudley:
Dudley has a thick candy shell. No questions can hurt his feelings,
So when was the last Em Commons Meeting?
Dudley:
Right before the king blew it up. Which was approximately
one month ago me thinks.
A date would be helpful. Close enough. So from what you have said.
The ones who attend the EM Commons Meetings and are in New
Haven are the ones who are only interested in Em events and
storyline? But the last EM Commons Meeting was a month ago....
Dudley:
That is a deduction you have concluded. I cannot say what anyone
may or may not be interested in. I present only as wide a range of
events as possible. To suite various play styles citizens may have.
The recent scrolls and EM announcers do not give locations for
these events, How would one know where to even go for Em Events?
Such as the scroll next to me now.
Dudley:
*Points to the one to his right*
No location.
Dudley:
She instructs you to see Ser Brightblade in Trinisic Felucca.
Ser Brightblade can provide the location of the Duelist's Edge.
If you are worthy of his quest. For those who wish to do
the mini quest for membership prior to the actual matches.
Gates are posted from key locations to the Edge. For those
who may have not had a chance to do the quest or did
not want to.
All she says is. "Next Qualifyin round for the battle royale
is this sunday 8/30 11pm et." She says nothing about Ser
Brightblade. Where are these key locations?
Dudley:
They are, and always have been from the Britain Counselor's
Hall. Should that location need to be amended for logistical
purposes notice will be given. Content on the website is
updated at my ability. Time spent updating the website is
time taken away from setting up events I also prefer to
utilize in game mechanics for notification as well as content.
My primary function is to be in game. Serving the Chessy
community.
Since the website has not been updated since June
17, 2009 people should not use the website anymore?
Dudley:
I would check it occasionally for updates. Critical
information will always be available in game first and on the
website should it be warranted or necessary. Example being
lists of previous teams and such. As we did for the last edition
of Captain Bloodrum's Challenge
Never heard of it but, I'll look it up.
Dudley:
Captain Bloodrum's Challenge?
Correct.
Dudley:
The Treasure Hunting Race
Sorry. I must have been in the city of Yew.
Dudley:
Me? I'm not a city. *Says Proudly* I'm Dudley!
No its
Y
E
W
hehe. Not you you, Its Yew you know?
People wanted to know if the EMs would open a center
for directions to locations, announcements and general
information on events in a local area. Besides a bank. An
actual building for these events.
Dudley:
The Hall of Commons serves as a focal point for interaction
between the community and the Em staff. I encourage
all person to attend.
Well the Hall of Commons has been in rubble for a month now.
Dudley:
That coupled with the Counselor's Hall serve as
those areas for departure and logistical distribution of
participants for events. As for central area for hosting
events. Some are specific based on the fiction and content
behind the event. Whether is be local or a UO community
wide storyline. For some smaller events we have a lovely new
Fair that will be utilized soon. Such as the Championship
food eating competitions As well as dog catching competitions.
Dart competitions so on and so forth. As for the current
state of repairs to the Hall of Commons I'm told Lady Dawn
promised to have it rebuilt and that construction has
already started.
One thing some wish to give the Ems as a heads up.
Those who have been active in you RP storyline and
mini events Don't share the information with the rest
of the population. Just so you know.
Dudley:
With a fine news reporting staff such as yourself.
I'm sure that will become less of an issue *grins*
Even I am not welcome in certain placed. *smiles*
Anything for me before I depart?
Dudley:
Do I get a cookie now?
I only give out Triple Cookies Cakes.
Dudley:
Oooooo *Eyes Widen*
I will have one made up for you next time we meet.
*Access communication crystal*
Lady Katherine, Juliana Baker I got a job for you!!!!
Dudley:
Yippy Skippy! *Spins*
Thank you EM Dudley for taking my questions. I know
some seemed harsh. Again I do have a major respect
for you and Em Vladimere so you know.
Dudley:
Thankee
*Shakes Hand* Thank you for speaking with me.
Dudley:
*Licks*
Hehe that works.
