UNLEASHED
After a Long night of restless turning, I decided enough was enough! I set out for the local Apothecary looking for a sleep draught that would give me a blessed night’s sleep. As I walked down the road leading to Moonglow, I felt a pair of eyes upon me, but gave no concern about it, because in this world you rarely get the chance to wonder where those eyes are, before you are dead. Continuing on, I finally reached the Apothecary, and began perusing the shelves of strange item’s, until Carl, the head Apothecary finally got around to waiting on me. I asked Carl if he had a good sleep draught on hand, to which he replied, “Sorry Vic, I am fresh out, seems everyone is having trouble sleeping since all this trouble in the Kingdom began.” I thanked Carl for his time, and began making my way to the next town.

While making my way to Britain, I heard a rustle in the bushes; I grabbed my blade and quickly demanded, “Who’s there”. Suddenly there appeared in front of me a dark figure holding his hands out in a peaceful gesture, and saying “Please put away that blade, I am not here to fight” Reluctantly I put the dagger back in my belt, mostly because I would be more likely to cut myself than him. I asked him what he wanted with me, to which he replied “I heard you are looking for a sleep draught, I know the whereabouts of one powerful enough to make your sleep dreamless”. Contemplating his words, I asked him why he would bother helping me with my problem. “Well, gold of course, you didn’t think I was gonna tell you for free did you?” after bargaining for a few minutes, we came to an agreement for price. After paying him the agreed amount, I asked him where this potion could be found. “In the land of Ilshenar, find those Controller Wizard’s; they are carrying them for some reason.” I thanked the stranger for the information, and set out in the hopes I wasn’t just cheated out of my gold.

Stepping through the Moongate, I started making my way towards the best place I knew to find a Controller, Exodus. Although the journey was a long and arduous one, I finally found my way there. The place reeked of oil, grease, and god knows what else, but I was determined to get a good night’s sleep, even if it killed me. I spent the next hour casting spells and swinging my blade, killing anything that moved, and finally was rewarded with a strange bubbling green potion, that smelled quite pleasant. Making my way back home, I prepared myself for bed that evening (I’ll not bore you with the details). Thinking I had better study this potion first, I called upon my alchemists training and put a tiny drop on the tip of my tongue. Although I could not identify the ingredients, neither could I taste anything to indicate a poison. Without any further hesitation, I drank the potion down, and was suddenly filled with great compassion and the desire to sleep. Waking in the morning, I felt better than I had felt in a long time.

Needs more random pictures of violence and mayhem.

Maybe in montage form. With accompanying montage music.

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the potion of compassion
Risin' up to the challenge of Controllers
And the last known reporter stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger
