Citizens gathered tonite at Legends Fairegrounds for what was to be a night of Mesanna Roulette. EM Helios fielded questions while waiting for the Dark Lady and conveyed the sad news that Legends has lost our dear EM Tashik. Your clutter of cats will be missed, sir!

The talk turned to rumors of pumpkin painting from other lands and when Mesanna appeared it was decided to instead gather at the EM Hall in Britain for a pumpkin painting party! Mesanna's booming voice told all to get to the hall quickly as the doors would be locked and everyone scurried off.

Pumpkin painting is a tedious task and became a bit lengthy, so it has been declared that the game of Mesanna Roulette will be played at another time. For myself, I don't mind missing a death tonite! However, before that announcement was made, many had made their way back to the fairegrounds, and for a reason known only to them arranged themselves in a very neat line.......

Those lucky enough to have a true Mesanna pumpkin had them painted in the manner of the one visible over the wall on the steps of a house in the first picture here. I was given a pumpkin by a kind person at the event since I had none in my pack and the name on it was Thowe... it was changed to Mesanna and painted as seen below.

I do feel the need to add that many were upset about the pumpkin painting as no one was informed that we were being moved to the EM hall in Brit for that purpose, Thus many including myself did not know to bring there pumpkins with them.
( I was lucky enough to have a good friend give me a spare he had. Thanks Pen!)

Helios did announce that we will be getting a new EM whom is currently in training. I cant wait to meet our new shard EM. Fair well Tashik wherever you went.

I would like to say that this was the absolute worst event I have ever attended. If I had never been to another event I would never go to another knowing this was a standard.

SHAME on the Mesanna for requiring that peeps show up with an item from LAST year. WTH kind of fairness is that to new players. It was obvious in the Virginia meet and it was absolutely obvious last night that she has a short sighted disdain for players. Plus to show up almost 30 minutes late. Hmmmph showing up late is professionaly a **** poor standard.

Then to not do the roulette because "the painting took to long" WTH? It was her fault it took so damn long. If this is our "Event Leader" lets not have another one and let show her hatred to her fellow employees and not us.

Sorry I used my outside voice but I couldnt believe I had experienced such a lame event.

If it hadnt been for me popping my 3 Harbringers last night there wouldnt have been any action at all!

I cant believe you are being so political Dev you didnt seem pleased either.

Green, I agree with you on allmost every point.

( I dont know that Mesanna has a disdain for players)
But I thought she seemed short on patience withing the first 10 seconds of her showing up and that seemed to be her "tone" for the night.

She was late, and she didnt inform anyone to bring a pumpkin to get it dyed.
There even seemed to be a lack of communication between her and Helios as well, I would have expected him to know what was going to go on before hand, but he obviously didnt.
I think Helios did a great job of trying to keep the train on the tracks, and before Mesanna showed up things were going very well.

I can understand cutting out and not doing the roulette with as many people as were there I have no doubt we would have been there into the AM if we had tried to continue on and do that.
( I wish i had went to the town hall in fairfax, so that I would know what she did or said there that caused you to feel she a disdain for players)

Well, if I was a dev, and doing what I could do (remember, they have bosses that lay out what they can and can't do, even Cal does) and I did my best given the constraints place on me (one hand tied behind my back)...and I went and read UHall, I would probably be a bit of a snert (Dev's term ) towards the players as well. Add to that the rudeness and attitude of some EVERYTIME they try to do an event of any kind, and well, you get my drift.

On the other hand, I can also see where the players get attitudes (cuz I r 1) with stuff, like events starting late (when they are scheduled too late to begin with LOL) the troublemakers seemingly having free reign (can't they send em to Buc's for 24 hrs?) and a few of the design flaws taht get released to the public, despite being reported over and over.

LOL I missed this event tho Had it in my head it was the next night...but if it was this rough, kinda glad i went ahead and got some sleep

Mesanna's bad attitude is extremely well documented. Her opinion of players is low and at the CoM meet up it was pretty bad as well.

She answered only 3 questions and then treated any other questions made as though she'd been there for ages and had answered the questions earlier. In reality, she answered 3 questions and decided anything else asked was annoying and a waste of her time, Cal wasn't much better.

It was one of those situation in which you find yourself wondering if these people are qualified to interact with customers when they seem unable to grasp simple questions.

Mesanna announced that the new bridge to CoM base would have a 3 tiles wide choke point. When asked by multiple people how long it would be. She responded it would take 2-3 weeks. The question was then clarified by 3 players that they wanted to know if the 3 tile wide choke was 1 tile in depth or the length of the bridge, and if the length of the bridge how long was that going to be? She responded again by saying she just answered that. 3 tiles wide. When several more people posed the question in different forms she again said 2-3 weeks. It was as though she couldn't grasp 2 dimensional space.

She then got frustrated and said she had answered the question. And then she left. The entire encounter was so bad, that if she worked for me, I'd have fired her. I have had uneducated administrative assistants from the bronx that dealt with customers better...

kay, think hard about what was said, Omnius... is it possible, at all, that she meant the bridge was to be 3x3 tiles? I don't know the first thing about choke points, so would an area like that qualify as one?
