I have been playing UO for about a year and have decided to start an Archor/Fisher. What is the best way to gain in fishing? I am kinda stuck at 70.7 Is there a faster way of doing things?

Newbie fishing

Well at over 70 you had best be on a boat fishing and not from shore. Been awhile since I gm'd some fishers but used to like the run E of Moonglow if no boats there good just sail straight and fish as i go. Only quick way to gain would be to collect the pink skill scrolls for fishing

do the quest in ter mur and get the orb thing that looks like crystal ball and turn it on and get in boat and fish and when you get out to a point where the crystal ball tells you optimal thats the zone you want to be in works great for getting you in the right channel for fishing!

I am on LS and yeah Im heard of the quest but have no idea where to start out. Maybe with a lil help I can get this moving in the right direction. TY

I went into ter mer and I didnt see where to get the quest from. I am lost on that. But then again I havent but just begun.

That's correct about the quest.
Now that I think about it, that quest does not match the reward. That crystal ball is going to be more useful to someone just starting out, but that quest isn't exactly easy to complete with a newer character.
Hmm... odd. Just my 2 cents.

True! There are critters in ter mer that drop both that are not to hard if you can cast evs and such but for the most part you are right. I have several of the darn things if anyone needs em
I farmed that quest for so long when SA came out. I ended up with enough crystal balls for each of my characters and 2 or 3 extra's that I gave away to new players.
Farmer Nash seems to be the best way for a lower level character to do that one. The dragon blood is the hardest part mainly because you either have to fight magic using skree's or pack forming raptors. At least at Nash's place the raptors only spawn one at a time.

yes they do ! I know i have killed enough I have about 3k from them! trying to get a shield! and still no shield !
