New to Shard, how to get started/sell wares?

Hey everybody,

Usual story, finally got tired of the prodo shards so decided to switch over and am hoping to really settle in here. I decided to play a crafter, so have just been gathering resources, mostly lumberjacking. I guess my main question is where to go (town-wise) to sell the resources I gather? Or if just posting on here is the best way. Just trying to get some starting cash to get going. Good to be here, and thanks for any advice.

Until ya get a house and vendor I`d just use the General chat or post here. Ya can`t sell resources to npc`s on Siege. I haven`t had much luck selling boards and such but arrows and bolts sell very well. Remember faction towns have no guards and Luna is not friendly beyond the GZ,lol.

If ya haven`t tried the EC yet....I`d seriously reccomend it even if all ya use it for is gathering. It makes mining/Lj`ing and alot of other crafter things much easier. Hope ya find a foot hold on this great shard. Holla anytime if ya need any help.

welcome to siege . glad you could join us. please dont get discouraged by some of the jerks who seem to love killing crafters . seems some folks cant handle a real fight.

you will find that town vendors wont buy your stuff . its a siege thing . they wont buy or sell resources , so many of us rely on other players to provide cloth leather etc . post your wares here and im sure someone will buy them .
typically post what you have and leave the price open to bids . if someone bids low usually someone will raise the bid , if not oh well you take a bite here and there . other times folks will argue over things and you'll get extra . it all works out .
after a while you can get an idea of what people will pay and you can set up a vendor. look for some place you can put a vendor where people can shop from a guard zone .(or at least a short run) vendors do charge 3 times the prodo shard price (like everything else on siege) so you dont want alot of extra stuff sitting on a vendor. usually ill put the cheaper stuff on vendor and post the good stuff here .

if you havent checked out NEW guild do so . even if you are proud and want to make it on your own , theres no shame in hanging with them for a month . they are good for learning the way of siege and the social structure.
besides flying the NEW flag usually means people wont attack you . of course you cant count on that , but many will honor it and every bit helps.

with one character per account, we are a pretty tight community really , it wont take long to learn who is nice and who isnt . just pay attention and remember .

dont get discouraged . its a difficult build here . but nothing truly great comes easy . hope you hang around long enough to finish building . we could use annother good crafter in our alliance . hope you will consider joining us when you are done with NEW.

-Boards: Do Heartwood fletchers quest. Don't sell em, much more profitable this way.
-Ingots: Sell, or maybe shurikens.
-Gems: Sell, big bucks.

If you're hard up for cash, hit the Jhelom farms and sheep pens. Easy to make 50k in a day.

Welcome to Siege. When I first came here I made a LOT of gold by selling cloth bolts. Shear sheep and pick cotton and spin it up. I have not sold any in quite a while but I used to get 350-500 per bolt. It sold faster than I could make it. Since you can't buy cloth from an NPC here, there are always people that are in need of it.

NEW is a great guild for the first 30 days you are on the shard. It will give you a chance to meet more people and they can help you a lot with info. about Siege.

Easiest way by far to make gold as a newbie:

1. Sell cloth, it goes for 450 gold per bolt or so. Lots of buyers.
2. Sell leather, goes for ~25 gold per piece.

As you work up your other crafting skills, you'll be able to make gold from them as well.

Anything you need to sell will probably be best sold on these forums. Or Luna bank.

Wow thanks for all the great responses everyone. I am definately going to check out NEW.

And I guess since this is the place to do it, I am selling Boards/Arrows/Bolts, up to 4k arrows/bolts and 10k boards. Ill look around for usual prices, but if anyone is interested let me know.
