New Shame items : don't they mess up your suits ??

Considering that the new Shame items are short lived (at least the really good ones...), using them to build around a suit seems a risky endeavour because once they are gone there is no guarantee that the RNG gets a replacement with similar or equal combination of modifiers to fine tune that suit.

So, I wonder, how good really are these new items when it is so difficult to have a reasonably lasting and working suit with them ?

Are we about to get into ever changing suits where players will have to continuously shift around pieces in order to get a well balanced and working suit ?

Here's an idea...if you don't want to spoil your suit, then don't use the Shame loot.

But that would to easy right?

Instead you come on here and start another dumb thread.

A lot of the people are really enjoying Shame, and I think the devs did a great job.

Why don't you use a piece or two that are similar to your suit but only better...then if you loose them you can put on your original ones.

Again you could of come up with that, but no you had to post your opinion on suit building that no one is forcing you take part in.

Seems to me your question would probably be better stated as asking whether or not people will be using the newly found armor in Shame as part of their own gear as opposed to asking people to guess on what will happen.

Good call popps on making a new thread instead of discussing it in the 10+ threads on the same topic made in the last few days.

I'll pass on replying to the dumb question though, seems a chronic over-thinker like yourself could add 2 and 2 on his own.

I'm starting to view your posts less as attempted discussion and more as shameless cries for attention.

Dont use Pof's and decrease the costs of Suits that rely on the new Shame items. With relic fragments becoming more common, that sounds to me like the way to go for.

so far the only thing that is really impressing me is the jewelery.
im actually looking for a max fast cast/recovery set with 25 lrc 10 lmc and sdi.
i know it exist as ive seen one.

most of the weapons are rediculous, they dont have swing speed or a bunch of just stupid mods and none of them have damage increase..

the armor is all brittle or cannot be repaired and most of the really good pieces have too low resists.. i wouldnt make a suit around them.

great for a newbie i guess. go down there and just put on things as they come..

i might save up a few of the high resist lrc/lmc mana regen peices im getting to make a training suit.

I've found a replacement for a bridle ring, and shield, that's it, the rest is unraveled. maybe i should read-up in the craftsmen section, maybe I'll find some good ideas for arti-level replacements

I think that is the wrong point of view to take on this stuff:

The problem with these items, is that to build a suit from them, you would need to be certain that you could find a replacement once the one you are using is destroyed.

I see this new stuff as something to build suits around, not to add to an existing suit.... although there are some pieces that can do that.

I'm pretty happy with most of my suits now. I'm not going to mess up a perfectly good suit with an item that won't last a night. I'll be looking for "clean" items that have one or two desirable max properties that I can imbue with other good properties. I hope to build a stockpile of these items and then I will start redoing suits. Mostly everything else will be unravelled.

Just trying to see how other players are going to handle the new (good) Shame pieces given their short lived time frame.......

Since not all players play the same way, I guess that players will use them differently, just wondering how different players will deal with them and these pieces short lives........

Is this a "taboo" question ??

That's a possibility, thing is, though, that with several players fine tuning their suits to the last digit of each and every modifier they want to put in their suit, this is kinda hard to get done with these new short lived pieces.............or is it not ?

I guess that focusing on the jewellery makes sense since, in combat, it hardly gets damaged and so, it lasts a lot longer than armor pieces or weapons.........

I can understand that, but since the really good pieces have a real low durability, and cannot be repaired nor pof'ed, what will one do when they vanish after a few fights ? What good will the rest of the suit do without that real good piece or two that it was built around ?

Take a weapon or a highly hit piece like Chest, with a durability or 25 or little above that, how long is it going to last ? Building a suit around it ? I am not sure that I would want to do that..........

And since the RNG is unpredictable, there is no guarantee that the destroyed Shame pieces will be found again in a reasonable time to replace the gone ones......

I think I find myself in agreement with this type of use of the new Shame loot.......

Discard (unravel) the real good but short lived ones and keep the not so good but imbuable (and pof'able) ones for longer lasting usage.......

With the only exception of jewellery.
