New servers for other countries

I am from Turkey and we havent got any official server.We'd love to have it.When we try to connect on other servers of OSI we have a very problems about lag.

We have high player potential for UO and we want an official server ,even the Taiwanese have OSI Server, what can we do for our own OSI Server establishment ?

If it is possible we can rent or buy the rights of UO for Turkey and whom we talk about this project ?

Your nearest official servers are Europa or Drachenfels, both located in Dortmund in Germany

Depending on your ISP and the package you have, Europa or drachenfelds should be just fine for you. I ping both at around 20-30mls from the Wales and that is more than adequate, I also play American east coast servers where I ping 80-100 depending on time of day and that is still fine and lag free, for the most part.

I would hazard a guess that you would ping Europa or drach somewhere between those two numbers. Granted you will not have a native server where the core language is Turkish, but if there are any Turks or people of Turkshish heritage playing, they a most likely to be playing on one of the two aforementioned servers. Germany also has a high population of Turkish immigrants, thus you may find players using your native tongue on them.

Correction if I may, the Taiwanese had their own server, now moved under the Japanese servers but there're still Taiwanese/ Hong Kong/ Chinese speaking country players that play there mainly (the ping moved up a notch connecting from Taiwan since the server moved) and even though we're now considered a Japanese server, we still do not get much benefits as the actual Japanese server does (like they have their own Japanese EA sales, their own GMs, their own seasonal events, etc) .. just saying.

The servers used to be located in London. Did they move them at some point?

yes, when all the servers moved from the owo addresses Europa and Drachenfels were both re-located to Dortmund.
It may be of interest to note that several nationalities play these servers and it is quite common to see languages other than English, including cyrillic text, in general chat.
