New Seed Types: a few notes on them (spoiler alert!)

For those of you who want to know what monsters you can find the new seeds on here is a bit of a spoiler.
Please do remember that these creatures and NPC types will not always have a seed on them, or may have the original seed type on them. Keep killing them till you see a Peculiar or Fragrant type seed. (the fragrant type is the ones who will produce the Cocoa Tree that produces 8 Cocoa Pulp that is used in two new cooking recipes. It also can produce up to 8 Cocoa Tree Seeds to grow more trees.) The peculiar type seeds cannot be cross-pollinated, and do not produce resources, but will produce 15 new types of new decorative plants.

3 Tokuno: Kappa, Tsuki Wolf, Hiryu
Swamp creature: Plague Beast
Bug type: Antlion
Karma sensitive in ilshnar: Serpentine Dragon

compact size: Wisp
undead: mummy
humanoid spellcaster: Juka Mage

I have started a project to collect seeds from all the monster types listed and growing the plants from them. I hope to give everyone a more detailed listing of all 15 of the new plants that way. I have heard a rumor that the above named monsters are divided into 4 distinct groups and each monster in a group will have a chance of producing one of four different plants that only that group will produce. I was wondering how true this is?

Over on the thread [Gardening] my first new plants just appeared that is in the "UO Botany and Nutrition Forum" two of the new plant types have been found, hops and cypress trees. For those of you who may be interested there is also a picture of the hops along with the new tall hedge plant.

Now hearing we are getting Hops as a plant has me excited. We can only pray that someday the Dev team will let these new plant types produce new resources to be used to make nice player made ales. As a real home brewer I hope that some day we will also get barley plants or secondary starch sources such as corn, rice and sugar plants. Then maybe in time UO players can brew their own beer and be able to label the bottles with the title you want. Now how cool would that be the RP taverns?

I just saw pics of Foxglove, Orfluer, Cocoa Tree and Juniper Bush over in Uhall so we now know a few more of the plant types.

There are 3 or 4 groups of monsters, each of which drop a sub-set of the new seeds.

It'll be another couple days before we know which monsters are in which groups, and which plants go with each group.

I just got back online tonight after being without cable, phone or net since Sunday night when a windstorm caused as a after affect of Ike blew through my area taking power lines down left and right. (Funny thing is I was lucky enough to keep power unlike many people around me.) Because I could not log in the past few days, I lost many of the plants I was growing to test with. So I will have to replace them and start over with my testing.

However I would love to hear what plants you have grown and from what monsters. That way we all can get a idea of what plant types belong to what group.

Looks like while I was offline many players had their plants come to full age. So here is a list of what comes from what.

Mummy, Antlion, Serpertine Dragon:
Cypress (plain), Hedge (small), Juniper Bush, Snowdrops

Tsuki Wolf, Titan, Dryad:
Cactus (flower), Fox Glove, Hops (right), Orflour

Kappa, Plague Beast, JUka Mage:
Cypress (moss), Hedge (large), Hops (left), Sugar Cane

Terathan Warrior, Wisp, Hiryu:
Cattails, Poppies, Spider Tree, Water Lilly

and all will drop fragrant seeds that produce the Cocoa Tree
