New Player need help

Ive just started playing this games a few days ago, it seems to be a fun game and really HUGE. and just because of that i went out and explored the lands a bit. The problem is that i jumped down in a Pyramid, and ofcorse died of the creatures that guarded it, and my ghost cant get out of there to a healer. Anyone! please tell me what to do, want to play again!


And one more thing how does these recall runes works and how can i use them?
Cant find any information about this that makes sense. It feels like UO creators dont want new players.

Welcome to UO Johan. Part of the great fun of UO is that it's a sandbox and you get to learn about the world thru your own travels and interactions with people.

If you are physically stuck and can't get out, go to the help menu and choose 'i am physically stuck'...

First - to get out of the pyramid - you can always use 'Help' from the top menu and then pick 'Physically Stuck'. That will allow you (with a 2 min delay) to teleport to a city where you can get rezzed.

Now onto runes. With the magery spell 'mark' you can mark a location in the UO world. Note that not ALL locations can be marked but most can.

Once a rune is marked - if you use the magery spell 'recall' or the chivalry spell 'sacred journey' you can then teleport to that rune location by targeting it.

To safely keep runes - you use a rune book that is blessed. Drop it on the book and then you can recall/sacred journey to it out of the book.

Chivalry is the easiest method because you use tithing points and not reagents. Simply buy a chiv book, train your chiv up with the NPC and then go to a shrine and click on it and select 'tithe gold'. There is one upstairs in Luna. Drop a few thousand gold into tithing points and then you can sacred journey around.

I believe the pyramid you mentioned is the one in the desert close to Umbra. If you should die there again go to the bottom level and look for a crack in the wall. You should be able to get out through the wall there.
Usually there´s a way out of most situations. Try only to use the Help Stuck option when really needed.

About the marked runes. Once you have marked one you can double-click the rune to name it whatever you want. Otherwise you´re stuck with the default names which can be confusing.

There is a secret door on the north side of the bottom floor of the pyramid that will lead you out. Look for bloody footprints in the area by the door.

Sounds like you had a fun start....When that pyramid was first introduced it took me forever to figure out how to get in, let alone how to get out. Nice job getting in!
