New Migration Issue Warning.

Just a warning to anyone thats using Pre-paid Visa cards for their accounts.
So after a lengthy phone call back to EA cs......again.....
They have been deactivated due to some 'issue' with EA blah blah blah.
The operator told me they are aware of the problem thou no fix time is given on their system as of yet.
Boosted upto Teir 3 cs.......again.......so now i wait for them to tell me once again its their fault but tough luck.
So once again i'm stuck with accounts i cant activate .......again......

So my warning is to others, if your accounts up for renewal on a pre-paid card. Make sure you dry dock your boats and protect you valubles.
I lost my 'whale' due to issues last time and looks like im gonna loose this one too.

This is the issue we've been having. Forced to buy cash game cards for a higher price. Prepaid mastercards are no more locally either.

They can fix this...its something I think they want to do so there system can eat through regular cards with doublebilling and prepaid you cannot lol

I have a Wal-Mart MoneyCard Visa, not sure if that makes a difference or not but I've had no issues with mine.

I just had an account deactivate yesterday, and its been on a debit card that I've had for 2 years... was very odd. I finally had to break down and use the new account management site... Dear God... Could that site or its systems be any less intuitive?!

I have a Wal-Mart MoneyCard Visa, not sure if that makes a difference or not but I've had no issues with mine.

Lol, ok let me re-phrase my statement. Some pre-paid cards.
Wierdly mine is an Wallmart Money card Visa with $100 on it.

Just goes to show thou they dont have a clue whats wrong as some work some dont.

Very strange ... we too had a problem with an account this morning ... this account has been an auto renew account for 9 years using the same (standard) type Master Card number and have never had an issue.

We received an email this morning from BiowareMythic saying the account was closed due to credit card denial. We called the credit card company which we have been with for 20 some years and they verified it was NOT on their end and that there is no reason why the charge would be denied. They suggested we talk to the 'merchant'. Which of course we couldn't do until 10am central.

We tried several times to reenter the CC information for that account and each time we got the 'an error has occurred ... return to main page' message.

So we decided to delete the MC information on that account (which also removes the information from all our other accts associated with that email) and entered our standby MC account information which was approved immediately. All our other accounts were automatically linked to that CC too.

We have no idea why it happened but it is very strange since when we migrated a few days after the migration was introduced we have had no problems at all with any of our accounts renewing.

Hope it was a glitch just for us and doesn't mean there will be another issue for others.

it is not a loadable card problem it is a problem with the 50+ prepaid cards, i called the card company when trying to reactivate an account and the company said EA refuses to accept these credit cards due to recurring charges

They had no problem hitting my prepaid Green Dot card the other day, I had to link and renew one, and two hit automatically...
But if they quit taking the prepaids, that is gonna hurt. Be a cold day in hell when they gt my bank info

I got a prepaid visa and use it to buy gametime cards from the UO store to use for the game. EA reopened & billed an account for a month using info I had erased from the old system, that was an unauthorized charge to my CC.

The UO store gamecards now being my sole way of paying for the game and having no rebilling feature should prevent any more problems, though we are talking about EA's new billing system aren't we... rolleyes:
