But only a friend who either (1) lives in Japan or (2) has access to a Japanese IP Proxy, and probably (3) access to a Japanese-issued credit card.
They've got it IP blocking out of area IP addresses so that even if you wanted to suffer the exchange rate, you couldn't without jumping through hoops.
Why in gods' name EA wants to NOT accept money from paying customers, I do not know.
Probably because EA doesn't get paid the full amount form EA-Japan.
so let's say EA-Japan takes 80% of the profits from the japanese uo gamecodes.
and EA takes 60% of that, if anything at all (the branches might not be controlled by the center branch, I don't know.) So in this example, EA get's 60% of 80% of 100%.
if you buy from uogamecodes, they get 80% because they don't have to pay for the Japanese teams, ect.

I just read a thread about online gaming addiction in South Korea.
Now, I read about the original poster, 9 and I'm sure there's others) needing, wanting, yearning, to buy these items, pixels,almost intangible goodies, with real life money.
So you have to ask, which one's sadder? Mind you, the first is definately and psuedo-psychological escape from reality. It can also make you fat.
The second is MAY be an game addict, or just a compulsive buyer.....either way, I wouldn't brag at Thanksgiving on your in game acheivments.
