It actually is your last statement, wherein you declare that I just like arguing, is quite telling, because it is a false statement, asserted as fact. I post the way I do because I do not like seeing factless statements asserted as facts to the minor degree I can help it. I have no illusions that I can do a lot on this score in an environment where facts too often are seen as optional.
And you definitely can still hunt for loot. And could have before the new loot system and before reforging. I, for one, did.

Actually more players referred to burning through kits as frustrating grinds. Both personally to me and on the boards, I have read stories of crafters expressing frustration with the randomness of the system. You may have liked it but nothing I have seen suggests to me that your preferences were typical. You actually can still do that now at any rate.before imbuing, crafting was more like it is now. Not so much complexity or variety, but the fact that it took some doing to achieve what you were after. In games we love the "thrill of the hunt." before imbuing it was hunting monsters for that perfect jewel, or burning kits in hopes of a perfect piece.

At best you think that your own experiences and preferences are everyone's. You are incorrect. I have demonstrated this capably. Suits can be made quicker but you also can grind through kits and have the advantage that you can make a suit that never will wear out by using that method.I dont know how anyone could disagree that imbuing was the lowpoint of UO crafting / hunting. it made loot worthless so destroyed a reason to hunt (other than for imbuing regs). a suit that took a fortune and many months to perfect could now be cookie cuttered out in under an hour.
See above. I actually do like things how they are now as well for about the same reason. Its not an issue anyway but i know you just like to argue The systems we have now are great, something for everyone.
