*real life issue*

Some lowlife took it upon themself to break in during broad daylight while we were at work and rob us. Taken in the robbery was all the computers (2 desktop and 2 laptop). Along with almost every other valuable thing.

*help needed*

I am now resetting all the macros for UO (all seven chars). I am using UOA and CC macros. I was wondering if there are any files I can copy and paste into an email so I can just save them in Yahoo mail. In the event I once again lose a system etc. Then I can just copy/paste them back into whatever folder they belong in and not have to spend a few hours setting them all back up and spend a few weeks trying to relearn where they all are lol

Thanks in advance for any help on it.

Bummer deal... sorry to hear.

I don't know about the assist macros, in fact I would like to ask that question as well...

As for the UO Macros and desktop files, the easiest way to do that is this...

Go to Start, find search... then search for Ultima Online. Mine is under "Ultima Online Legacy". Inside that folder you should see a folder named "user data". that is the folder that holds every account, and every characters macro file from every shard. Also your desktop settings (spells and how you set your screen up in game.). The "user data" folder I would keep saved on a flash drive. That would be easiest way to do it. If you reinstall the game or whatever... Just replace that user data folder when you install again.

UO assist Macros are located....

Program Files (or program file (x86) - depends on your OS) > UOAssist > UOA-Settings > Account Name > Shard > Char Name > UOA-Macro#.cfg

You will also find a hot keys file and resource file for how the chars are set up. The globals stuff is one directory up the tree. The .cfg files are just text files and can easily be copied.

I keep all my UO and UOA data on a USB jump drive just so I don't have to program in all those things should something happen.

As previous poster said, uo assist settings is stored in *install path*\uoassist\UOA-Settings\*

U should backup whole that dir.

I presume u got a win7 system now, then u find your uo macros and settings in my documents folder; \EA Games\Ultima Online Legacy\*

U should backup that folder too...

If you got both thoose folders, its just to take a fresh reinstall, copy back and put in uoa keys and u are back on ur old screen.

Anyone else that has this happen.... The above answers are 100% dead on accurate. Easy to do also. I am at best a computer novice and was able to knock it out in ten minutes max.

Invest the ten minutes, burn a disc and save a few hours of torture in resetting them all.
