so i was getting the Blue Screen of Death here of late.
wow, isnt that fun.

so i was able to get up and going again finally and i noticed something strange.
i RESTORED my computer back a month and i noticed now that my patch is off.

we are on 7.0.6.5 (patch 80)

and my computer showes 7.0.5.0 (patch 80)

yet i can still log in and im not prompted to patch.
but once in game everything is all messed up.

all house walls are missing and stuff like that.

so what im thinking is that i need to fornce a patch, but i think my computer is showing the client that its allready all patched up.... when it isnt.

if that makes scence?

anyways, any suggestions from anyone?

there is a way to change that in a file....I can not seem to remember how though, is it the version.dat file? Been a little bit since I messed with the classic client files, I will have a look around and see if nothing jogs the memory. Also there use to be a way to force it to patch, can not remember that either but thought mentioning might jog someone else memory.

Edit: Would it not be faster to just uninstall it and reinstall? I mean getting an answer here could take a long time, plus all the trouble shooting it involves.

I think it would be best to reinstall, Adjusting files may work, but it may cause issues with patching later on.

Try deleting everything in the patch directory and then restarting. Make sure that it goes through uopatch.

Sometimes I use the UO.exe directly and it doesn't patch.

If that doesn't work, I think reinstalling might be your only option. :(
