Need some help on a project*Photo/SIG MAKING PEOPLE*

Ok the first pic I'm going to post is what I want in the background. The second pic is what I'm shooting for. I would love a log sign with a stained wood color to it. I want it to look like it's actually supposed to be there as much as possible like it was a real photo. On the Sign they mainly are wanting it to have a big box to put the wording in like a white text box but I was thinking if it's possible to make it like a very light colored wood with black large font that kinda looks engraved into the wood sign.

On the Sign I would like it to say... YOUR SOUTHLAND LOG HOME HERE!!!

Or you could do it like this some how.

It took me 10 minutes to make so I'm sure it would be pretty easy to top but I usually don't spend much time on anything intell the person i'm making it for says I'm heading in the right direction with it.

Well I like it I just think the sign looks a little big. I personally know nothing about this stuff but would it be possible to change the sign color to look more like a stained wood color? And darken the letters a little more? I mean a diff sign could look good as well I just dont know how you would go about gettnig one or if they can be made etc.

looks better, but the font is too clean.

Need to make it look like it was burned on the wood weith an engraver.

Like a taxidermist shop sign.

I agree, but at that size with a black font against dark wood it would be hard to read the smaller text. Sometimes I sacrifice realism for readibility depending on what is more important to the client.


Now I'm curious, what on earth are you doing?

I'm not sure if you had to use that background or not but it would probably look better with less clouds more grass or smaller clouds. It's kinda out of perspective.

Download the font Artistamp medium I thnk it is called. very nice... worth a try.

Well I will be honest it's not actually my project. It's something my aunt is working on I think it's for a flier or something... If you think you could come up with a better background bye all means see what you can do. I just told here that I played this game and the community was very close here and there was a lot of talented people on here who could do this sort of thing.

She really liked them both but really if you think you can make it look better please do try I would like to see what she thinks about it.

So it is for a real estate brochure. ask her what the max image size is for thumbnails.

I doubt she would use that image on a 1/4 or 1/2 page ad. I assume it is for lots with no pictures of the property.

Ya she said it will be sent out through e-mail and possibly printed out some for fliers.

Trolls came out much better than mine did! One of these days I'll have to drop the $$$ for Photoshop. I can try some different fonts and views if Trolls will post the image without text, though.
