Need change for taming (Not just for bane event)

Ok I'm positive this has been asked before but it's one of those changes that really needs to be addressed. Not just because of the bane dragon problems on Atlantic (and maybe other shards?), although this is what has caused me to feel the change is needed. From what I understand this problem also happens with I believe Cu's and maybe other tamables?

Once a pet is tamed, the respawn timer needs to start, not once the newly tamed pet has left the sub-server. The only reason I can think of that this is not how it already currently works is the team was afraid of people waiting for respawn and releasing their pet causing an area to be flooded with the mob in question. Which is mute in my opinion due to the fact that this can be accomplished by just leaving the area with the tame and returning in a few minutes.

Now I could be totally off and there might be other reasons why this is how it is, but I have doubts any of those issues out-weighs the current problem that takes place. Is it a coding issue? I just can't figure out a logical reason why we can't have this changed to a system that prevents certain types of grief play. (Although, as I said, I can't think of a reason but a good reason could be and probably is totally obvious to everyone but me. :p )

Also another thing to think about would be making a change in trammel at least where if a animal is currently being tamed another player cannot come along and damage said mob to cause the taming action to be broken by angering or killing it.

I agree, I was just at Abyss watching, and nothing was spawning as far as Bane Dragons, except for some guy riding one and hiding, etc,.

This happens with Cu's and Greaters too. Which is why I had to tame my Greater in Ilish, in Destard, you get too many people interfering, some, for the sole purpose to aggravate you.

Last night in the abyss, well over 30 minutes went by without a single Bane being tamed, it took but one so called kewl mutt to put a wrench into the works. Lastly, I can only play at certain times these days, my schedules so jumbled up.

Devs, throw us a bone.

IMHO pet spawns shouldn't be blockable, they should respawn once tamed rather than being subject to a player "hiding" or moving them.

I don't really think a tame attempt should be protected from another player breaking it. Sometimes you might not want someone else jumping in while you're taming, but you're still left unhappy when they jump in first and beat you. So the fix would still leave the same basic problem - 2 tamers having to share a spawn.

The best option I would suggest is multiple pets spawning at each spawn location, with different locations across facets for the spawns. Then it becomes much harder for a player to block spawns. Random spawn locations would be another option, however I think fixed spawn locations should also be included.

I don't think we need to change how its done but the moral compass of a few, clearly anyone purposely attempting to stop the spawn is for, 1 grieving purposes, or 2 to control the market. If you are disrupting this event then I hope you get at least a 3 day. OHH folks i saw had a guild tag, nice way to represent :( d***** bag

Making it against the rules just places even more work onto the GMs, and ensures that players are free to grief tamers for however long it takes for the GM to show up. You can cause a lot of trouble in an hour :D Besides, being dodgy seems to be more of an encouragement than a deterrent in UO.
