Necromancy and Karma...

So I wanted to try out Necromancy. After a tedious search for a necro spellbook, ( NPCs should sell them with some spells!) I casted my first necro spell...and lost a lot of Karma. OH damn! So I taught it was because of the spell and tried a different spell "You lost alot of Karma" OH DAMN! Every spell I lost Karma. That kinda sucks. I was also told that if you wanted your necro spells to be more powerful that I should work on having the worst Karma. Is there any truth to is?

Yes, all Necro spells give negative karma and the lower the karma, the more powerful. Also need Spirit Speak to enhance most necro spells.
Necro is opposite of Paladin (chivalry), which need high karma.
