necro mage or mystic mage

whats better for killing things like renowns (the more powerful ones like the wyvern) and the Navrey spider. Im doing this by myself btw, so no group

the mystic mage that uses a collosus to tank and cast spells

or necro mage who only has EV,

If all you do is summon then Mystic.

Otherwise Necro/Mage. High SDI & Slayers with Wraith Form you can Chain Lightning the Wyvern to death fairly easily never running out of mana. Plus you can still have EV's and 3 Animated Forgotten Servants which turn to Lich Lords. As well as bumping your damage with Evil Omen, and on Navrey with Corpse Skin and Evil Omen.

on navrey ive tried summoning some energy vortexes to tank her while i cast but the problem is that the vortexes all die before i can get more than 2 or 3 casts off. and then i run out of mana to cast anything else while i summon more vortex.

wondering how a necro mage would deal with this issue.

For Navrey you can use the rocks and joust with Explosion and offscreen.

120 Resist is better but you still need melee defense with a Mage Weapon.

Only thing it lakes is WoD. & you have every other spell you want at your disposal. Its always fun to have a RC, 3 Skeletal Dragons, Wraith Form, & throwing off as many spells(Wither & FS) as you want. Of course you don`t always have Skeletal Dragons lol.

No real reason to take Necro above 105. Everything but Vampiric Embrace will be 100% sucessfull. SS at 120 will let you leach more mana back, & animate the higher tier of Undead. Of course the Animated Undead are affected by Fame level I believe, or Karma of the creature you killed.
