Navrey what to use now?

So now that they boosted the thing even more. What can I use to solo it other than a pet and sampire? I got tired of having to use them for everything. My poor myst mage was having fun with it before but now it's not working. Also ae those pillers working at all? Doesn't even look like anybody is even bothering with Navrey anymore.

Perhaps we (the players) are not supposed to be able to solo Navrey and other bosses in UO?

We the players need another 100000 players online at all times to help out unfortunetely thats not the case and the loot on Navrey is not enough for more than 1 player so I ask again what can I use to solo it other than my tamer or sampire or using 2 accounts.

Well I guess I realize why nobody does it anymore. I ended up using my tamer for it. Forget about the teleporting when the web hits you. The worst thing is when shes on low heath it does a dance around that doesn't allow pets or summons to hit it at all only occasionaly with magic. It took me 4 times the amount of time to kill the last sliver of health than it took me to get it down ther. It's way too irratating. That must be a bug Im sure not gonna bother with it again alone or in a group till they fix that.
Not to mention other than a spider caprice and a untranslated tome the rest of the loot is at troll level.

I tried my first Navery last night so I have no prior version to compare the experience. With that said, the time commitment for two players did not seem worth it. We basically had a greater dragon and a high-SDI sw/mage and it took 2-3 hours. A couple problems emerged: (1) when dragon died, it kept saying we could not rez at that spot, so we had to take it out by the sentinel spider to rez (everytime but once); (2) after one dragon death, Navery retreated to a spot by some water where pets could not reach her and she would not engage us. Is that normal down there? Although being stuck like a swoop allowed our mage to pelt her with spell after spell while the spider was locked on the dragon helped in some respect, it did not help with time. She broke free once the weaver started hitting with WoD, and she died pretty quickly after that. The loot was really bad for the time commitment. With my experience, I am not surprised that players are not bothering with her. I am interested to hear whether my experience was atypical or not and insights on dispensing her more quickly. Obviously, gathering a group would aid in that regard but that is not always possible on a smaller shard.

Yeah, I actually left once to get a better circle than I had because I could tell it was going to be a long evening. I just held out hope that the loot would be worth the time and effort. I didn't even get the untranscribed scroll. Just a spider carrapace and bad items. Well perhaps they will change it again. I'm not inclined to return in the foreseeable future.

It's a mini boss with the loot of a troll and no chance at anything significant. Stronger than dreadhorn and buged with webs that when they hit you teleports you to the other side of the room and when low on heath does a dance that no pet or summon can hit more than 10% of the time. Average finishing time 2-3 hours or so if no wod. Bring extra players and you get the opportunity to share the loot of leather tunic with no mods,1%mana leech,2%dispel shortsword and rings like 1%dci,3%hci,if lucky a fastcast on it as well with 2k gold.
Untranslated tomb is a book for a quest with little reward if you get it. Spider caprice is a imbuing ingrediant that is used for arachnid property which can be found on other very easy spiders. Maybe some other ingrediants which can be found on other much more profitable time investments.
It used to be farmed because it was much easier and mages could do it which was fun. Now it's just a Seriously a waste of space and time. You can go there and it's as empty as people farming mongbats in britan would yield better enjoyment for the time.
I literaly almost fell asleep the last hour of my pet trying to hit it. They were just doing the waltz with the uo music but supervised dance where nobody can stay touching each other for more than 5 seconds.

The red thief in the tomb gives the book and can be soloed with 5 frenzy or hellcats. I at least get one relic worth item to unravel per 2 kills. And I agree the carpace from the trap spiders an easier hunt. There is besides the carpace the deco webs. They are cheep and making the creature easier for a deco item wont make prices go up.
The fact a player will have to make a friend or two to decorate their home by earning an item supports the current reward for effort.

i use to be able to kill he in 10 seconds solo with my tamer.
that is a massive change.

even after the first change i could still solo her in under a minute.

guess ill have to go in there to have a look see at this next change in her attitude!

The effort is not worth it not even a little. They need to fix the bug that it cannot be hit.

Check it out make sure you don't have wod. Try to kill it, when it gets low on health watch what happens.

Was In there last night with a spider slayer and barely scratched the darn thing.

I agree it needs some thoughtful adjustment.

When most things get low in health, the super paragon speed is not realistic - and how much does the to-hit chance change at this time, 40% or more?
Flying creatures can suddenly go airborne when next to dead, that's not fun, it's stupid.
On another note, some have wanted to know what QA does - Entry Level position, you must like to play games and document bugs you find (per EA).

If only it was the super paragon speed im used to that. I thought the first time it did it it was just a fluke but after you go weeks later and it does it again and now it's boost up even more well we have a problem housten.
Fine it gives crap loot, fine it webs you and when the web catches you teleport to the other side of the room and stay frozen like that then the web disaperares and your frozen for another 10 secs or so. But to have the thing start dancing toghether with your pet or summon and there face to face the wholetime while the spider takes like 1 small super step at a time like it's suppose to be climbing invisible webs. It goes to another axis where nothing can hit it only once in a blue when it drops down to level axis. It's literaly a dance. Spells i beleive can hit it but physical contact is out of range even though it's right on top of you thats a big problem.
Thats not tactics thats not difficulty thats a problem in coding. Im wondering if it's just atlantic or if it happens everywhere since they messed with it.
Lets say it takes a player 30 min to get it to a sliver of health without wod it will take another hour of extreme boredom to finaly finish it. Then when you finaly done and praise the uogods it's over you open the corpse to find the same thing you found a couple of hours ago when you ebolted that troll hanging around your home.

I was going in there with bard and mage/tamer/weaver. Bard discoed and mage tamer nuked the heck out of it. Took about a min to kill (after the first bump). Not worth trying now.

uo is full of things that are not worth anything, so nobody deals with them. look at all the crafter crap; tons of menues with items u can make, but nobody makes them since they are useless. the same is true for mobs; who is doing any of the mini bosses of ML anymore (miasma maybe for lvl 6 maps) except for getting keys?

same will be true for the SA content. they should rethink all the content and reduce it to the essentials.

I remember seeing a post from a dev saying that they were gonna make it into a peerless type encounter. In the same post they said that even tho they had made him harder to kill they were gonna have to come back at a later time to adjust the loot.

But it's bugged,it's system malfunction,it's damaged,the encounter is code screwed up,it's glitched,it's broken,it's unusuable it's man i don't know how many times i can say it. I submited a bug report on it and hopefully they can get his temporaly semi-immortality fixed

Disco super dragon it which isnt too bad, if you also have 6th circle wod.
You will be better off farming swoops or miasma for loot/unravel unless you want some sa arties theres no point doing her.

Whithout wod theres no point in doing her she is bugged. I used disco greater dragon on her. Unfortunetely because shes almost invulnurable to pet and summons when shes low on health and takes another hour or so to finish it while you start to dance toghether with her and the dragon and smile when every 5 mins the dragon finaly hits her well thers no point till the bug is fixed.

Sadly she is still bugged. Either archer attacks at the end or wod at the end. But for a pure disco tamer or a pure mage tamer or a mage without spellweaving or any other template that doesn't have taming,sampire,or tamer-archer the end is way too frustrating because of being almost unhittable by the pets,or summons. The problem is that the thing shouldn't be doing that it's climbing on invisible webs into different axis when low on health. Maybe by cleaning out those webs might work or just have it act like any other creature when it gets low on health. I doubt that bugged like dance is intended. I have'nt tried using the enhance client for it but in 2d it's horrible. Still doesn't matter to me if it ever gets fixed it's just one of those things with poor planning. loot is not even worth getting out of bed for.

On the topic of loot most of the sa expansion has big problems with it. I know imbuing was made to also use alot of low level loot but I think we were already complaining before that every other monster in the uo lands needed a bump on loot. This doesn't help that almost every single monster in SA expansion has lower level loot than the regular creatures we are used to killing all these years like blood elemntals,dragons,etc.. They need to revamp and increase intensities on these things if it wasn't for the imbuing ingrediants 95% of the new creatures would pretty much go unhunted. Then theres the notion that the stronger the monster is the less loot and intesity of it should be given. I hope it was just a mistake and if it was on purpose I hope the person who though about that was one of the people let go "that was not creative thinking. "Even a player that only played one game in there life would know better" Difficulty=reward
