Mysticism - Stone Form

I'm looking for specifics on this skill. Perhaps some of you here know a bit more about it than I do?

I'd like to know how much swing speed you lose, how the damage resistance works, if you gain true immunities to curses/bleed/etc, and how imbuing comes into play with the skill.

Any reply is appreciated.

I'm not high enough in imbuing to see an immunity to poison or curses (at 60's now).
The EC shows your SSI, FC loss, but i don't remember ATM.

The effects vary depending on skill levels but you can check what it does by opening your stat gump and clicking the blue gem for your buff/debuff bar to appear. You may have to turn on tool tips (second tab down on the left in the options) and hover over the items to see what its doing. That shows your SSI penalty and resist and resist cap increase etc... I seem to remember at best it increases resist caps by 5 and adds 10 to your equipped resists so you can be all 75's. (With probably 80 Energy if you're an elf, which averaged out gives you more resists than a Greater Gragon :p.)

Also the immunities from Imbuing work sort of like Resisting Spells vs Parra only Imbuing is used vs the modifier of the other skill, so for Immunity to Strangle you need equal or higher Imbuing than the Spirit Speak of whatever cast it on you. For Poison its Imbuing vs Magery, for Bleed Imbuing vs Tactics (presumably). I tested it more thoroughly during beta but didn't keep any of it unfortunately.

Thanks alot, that's pretty much what I was looking for. It would only be viable to fit that amount of skill into my template if it gave true immunities. 75s in resists would be pretty nice though.

It does, thats what I meant by the Parra example, if your Imbuing is equal or higher you are completely Immune to those effects.

Oh alright. I haven't used resist since pre-aos, and i thought there was still a chance to be paralyzed with 120 res. Guess I misunderstood there. I'll have to try it out and get a handle of just how slow that form makes you; maybe it's worth it. Have you tried it out in normal play? I was thinking of using it on a warrior in the place of vamp form.

I believe its unmounted walk speed.

No never used it for actual play as a dexxer. I used it on a ... not sure what you'd call it ... Discord/Tamer/Necro/Mage/Mystic during beta to solo Medusa, though that was changing skill points around mid game as it was a Test Center. Basically had the Medusa Discorded, a Greater Dragon killing it while standing on top of it so it wouldn't target me, me standing right next to both Vetting so it wouldn't walk out, in Stone Form so I was Immune to the 'her snake hair poisons you' thing, and Spirit Speaking through the occasional Mortal when she tried to retarget. Evil Twins had no offense because they can't (or couldn't.. idk if they can now) copy Mysticism spells and I'd disarmed my Mage Weapon so that I couldn't hit her which avoids Evil Twins of me being made.
