I need to know if this would be a good template to make for a caster type or would the spells just be redundent. I want to make a very powerful caster for PVM and champ/peerless spawns.

Also was thinking of doing a fincer/Mysticism I am just needing to get an idea from folks who might have walked this path before.

The ninja did not work out tried it untill Weds and had to stop.

I don't know if Mysticism is really a PvM skill.
Fencer/Mysticism would be cool but you need spell channeling weapons which means you have to sacrifice other mods that might be more useful in PvM. (slayer type/leeches etc)
Best pvm template is the Sampire. Check the warrior forum.
If you want to play a mage a bard mage is awesome for PvM.

If you like strong area effect spells and a kick@$$ summoned beast(with 120 mysticism and 120 imbuing) and the usual power that magery gives you to heals and direct damage spells,then thats the way to go.

Edit: If you want to be a "pure caster" then go with mage/mystic/spellweaver. If you don't mind playing a hybred template,then go with Peace/Disco Mage or Disco/Peace Tamer.

What would be the required skill set to pull this off, I know the basic ones Mysticism, Magery, Imbu and Medataton. But what about inscrip and enval int, wresl and spell resst.

Can someone post a couple of good temps for me to look at I have an idea of whats needed but here is the thing I want to build a beast with Mysticism and Magery or Mysticism and fencing.

Actually flutter if you can fit 80 imbuing into the template you can just cast enchant every ten seconds give yourself 20-30 hit lighting or if you already have hit lightning stack hit fireball or harm on that and you get spell channeling. With 4/6 you'd be able to pull that off in battle and be a pita while spamming either hailstorm on yourself like wither or purging potions. Then you throw up an animated weapon which with your tactics anatomy and imbuing will actually do something unless you go the route of evalint which I'd suggest only if you are using the weapon for dci which in that case you should say screw it and take magery.

At this point your template might look something like this:
fencing 120
parry 120
anatomy 100
tactics 100
mysticism 100
healing 100
imbuing 80

Without skill enhancing things. Also your stats will need to have a major booster shot with items to pull this off.

Mysticism is pretty worthless damage wise without EvalInt except hailstorm which has no requirement for damage. You also don't have a very powerful heal without EvalInt although you still get the combined remove curse/cure/20-30hp without EvalInt.

Your Purge Magic will also be unaffective versus any one with high Magic Resist.

So recap!

Cast enchant before and during fight
Throw up Animated Weapon at beginning of fight or have it spell triggered
Purge Other or Hailstorm self repeatedly in close combat
Bandage when needed
Have a Healing Stone ready
If Animated Weapon is not stoned stone Sleep or more likely Purge Magic

Actually, if a weapon already has:

Hit fireball
harm
lightning
magic arrow
dispel

you cannot cast enchant.

Well...someone probably used it to have a weapon (for example, yumi) like this in beta:

50 Hit Lightning
50 Hit Harm
40 SSI
50 Velocity
50 Damage Increase
Spell Channeling
FC -1

That warrants a beating from the nerf stick I think.

Except it only went up to 30 and I did it on Catskills upon release.
