It's a really nice location, big enough for an 18x18 and next to the water for boats and stuff.

Good luck.

I just stuffed whatever I could into my bank box and my backpack and left the rest. I think I got all the really good stuff, but I'm sure there's stuff left.

I wasn't planning on letting it fall, but I could never get the Ankh of Sacrifice and Spring Cleaning Mouse Hole I was looking for. I've posted a couple of threads about this over the past year, but no sellers.

Here's the spoiler for "the plan," (it was simple!):

I was going to announced the "Barter Town 2 Million Gold Challenge" here on Stratics. It was a challenge to find 2 Million gold check inside the tower. (They would be together.) You had to break in and find it by any means necessary. The first to find them wins. Finders keepers.

(The was the follow up to the 1 Million Gold Challenge event I ran when Barter Town first was put on the map.)

The trick was this:

There house would stay public and the front doors would stay private (like they have been for years), but there would now be an Ankh of Sacrifice on the first floor.

Step 1: To get in you have to kill yourself, go through the doors as a ghost, and rez inside at the Ankh.

Step 2: Of course this means you're naked for the rest of the search, at the mercy of anyone else inside with a Siege blessed weapon and my own (many) trapped crates. You had to keep track of which crates you've checked and be smart about it since there's a timer on the Ankh and you can only rez from it once per hour.

Step 3: The checks would have been in the 2nd floor room. The door to this room would be private and the door to the 3rd floor would be public. On one of the walls, slightly hidden, would have been a mouse hole. So the only people who could actually get to the check would need to have Ninjitsu to transform into a mouse or squirrel.

Step 4: Dodge more crates. Dodge more people, looking to kill you.

Step 5: Success.

Trick #1: I would've been there the whole time as a ghost (with UOA as an animal to see color) taking screenshots. One, because it would be funny seeing all the dead bodies. Two, because I'd want to see if anyone actually thought about different ways to rez without any items. The easy one I can think of is a pair of people with Chivalry who keep on noble sacrificing, checking crate after crate. So the perfect pair to get the checks would be a couple of Paladin/Ninjas working together.

Trick: #2: The whole purpose of the entire thing would have been to keep the tower on Siege as a museum with the 3rd floor library now public, if you knew the trick to get in. How to get in would have hopefully been passed from person to person, knowing that there's an Ankh of Sacrifice just inside.

Anyway, that's all folks.

:spider:

edit: I guess another easy way to rez a partner in crime would be to siege bless an AoF and just use magery after a couple fizzles.

Yes, I'm a very busy person these days and it takes less time out of the day to be a Trammie.

Real life comes first.

I'm sure with your new guild and all...

Because it makes tons of sense to leave SP to play Atlantic especially if you want to have more time for real life...

In a guild where everyone is an emissary so I don't have to be, yes. In a guild where it doesn't matter who gets in or not, absolutely.

I'm in medical school and studying constantly and I have been for the past year. That's the only reason I stopped playing Siege. In what way do I have time to play? Atlantic is heartless and soulless and it's filled with people who are pretending to play UO. It's like a flash game and I can play it as little as any other flash game.

Actually i'm quitting SP tonight and gonna make a all new guild on Atlantic too and redo my website and actually advertise my new guild...but unlike you i didn't have a guild fall on it's face on SP but keep your head up this might do better since it's more up your alley...see on SP you killed naked miners now you moved up to wearing everything blessed so now you won't be afraid to actually PvP now...

I think i'm all caught up now...

Oh wait all i gotta do now is drop my SP house so i can place on Atlantic...

Close, but not quite.

You need to quite SP a year ago, only to get the urge to play UO, but have little to no time to pick up where you left off. You need to have ideas about redoing your website but have no real time to implement any of those ideas and the ideas will probably just forever stay as ideas. Then you need an idea for a new guild designed to run itself, that will run itself after a few weekends getting it going. But before that you have to formally say goodbye to the guild that was recruiting more new faces to Siege than NEW for months. The same guild which had nearly 50 members, which was unable to sustain itself when you stopped playing. After that you need to finally make this new guild which mocks production shard rules in every way possible.

I'm sure Siege is doing wonderfully with people like you and without guilds like mine that recruited about a dozen new faces to the shard a week.

I know I'm holding your hand when connecting these dots for you, but I know you'll get there eventually.

Enjoy the forums.

You're like reaching and I still don't know what your point is in this thread. You're like digging for some dirt and trying to catch me in a lie.

I had fun with Siege and then a year ago I had no more time to play. I still have no time to play, but decided to experiment in making a guild that would sustain itself instead of a guild where I had to run every little detail.

And yes, I'll try to have fun on Atlantic, the 1 hour a night I play.

I had a lot of fun on Siege and Atlantic will never be Siege. The type of guild I had on Siege required me to be involved in everything anyone else did, all the time. This one doesn't.

And I actually have a huge test in about 5 and a half hours. If your goal was to get me to reply and waste my time when you know I don't have much free time, then I guess you win.

I give. I have to study.

Later.

If it is the spot I am thinking of it is a great location. I had a lg. twr. on the waterfront, right up from the Minoc stables once here, on Siege too. Had a TAX man to my south back then and Brook and them in mega keeps and castles to my north/ne.

Good luck on your studies in the medical professions. Our youngest child went thru all that and now she is a coronary specialist nurse in the operating rooms, & she making really good income $. It isn't easy, so study up and good luck with it all. :)

Here, my girlfriend is taking Biology, and it is Micro Biology. She is maintaining at least a 98 average, and it isn't even her major. The students who are majoring in Nursing or Medical are nearly flunking, they kiss the teachers @$$ and she GIVES them a passing grade...

I NEVER want to be under the care of these ******** rednecks, who were given their degrees.

If Chad is as dedicated to his studies as he was his guild (when playing), I'm sure he'll do just fine.

Aye I can remember my daughter saying some of the same things too.

Even now at work, she will say if so and so kisses so and so's butt even if they not remotely qualified to do whatevers, they end up in charge of the entire floor or wing of hospital and they are clueless, if not dangerous in stuff they do, for patients' well being.

She has einsteiny brains, photographic memory and studies constantly updating and upgrading her education further, all the time.

Course when she was a little girl like in second grade, giving a dollar for every A the kids brought home, ended for our kids with their lil sister... :) or we woulda went broke. Course as her momma, being a brunette myself I DO tease her and say silly things like ...Hope ya do not have a blonde moment holding someones heart miss cerebral. :) She goes ...oh ma ! Never happen ! I tease back and say ...ya did drive thru the drive thru at the burger place one slippery day crackin up OUR car ! :)

Moving to the south, it is funny to watch them buy days worth of groceries when they expect a little snow, because they can't drive on it! They have no experience, and the cities aren't going to invest the money in plows and salt/sand machines for the rare chance of needing them.

So give her a break! :p Stop reminding her of the ONE time she failed! :D

:) But what are parents for but to remind our kids of comical moments of the police callin us up. :) Driving thru the 'DRIVE THRU' that way was not really how driving thru the drive thru, was originally intended ! LOL My car had red stripes on it from the talk into the box thingie she plowed thru. :) Luckily we were & are still parents with a sense of humor, to survive 3 teenagers/young adults turning legal aged, at all when like when the Police call ya up regarding one of your kids.

Actually 'she' did not fail, did not get ticketed cuz kid behind her also 16 at the time, in his parents' pickup truck slid into her and pushed her thru the drive thru.

The police blamed the establishment for not salting their drive thru driveway, nor their parking lot & doorways, for customers safety.

Aye it is the south...lucky the entire burger place was not leveled that day even by so called older *experienced* drivers whom have NO experience on ice and snow down here. :) They never woulda lasted, in Wisconsin !

Anyways, if I do not like whatever my own doctor may be tellin me, hey I get free medical advice now ...for forever cuz I bug her, for a free second medical opinion ! :)

I'd do what I always DO when the kids disagree with me...ignore em if it meant leaving UO. lol

Or worse yet, get her brother or older sister to get me on dorky FACEBOOK like they did, just to look at all their photos they do not send me so I have to go to FACEBOOK just to see my own kids pictures nowadays...bleh !

So they as that younger puter cellphoney ipody gatgetz nutso generation, can twitter tweet and facebook and text and all that silly dorky newfangled crap... all they want to. I will play 2D UO 'without them' !

*besides the girls tried UO and their brother neglected to inform them [like he had me] back in 98, that attacking a *blue tamed cow* in Delucia meant being GUARDWHACKED.

The girls fled [pre trammel Chesapeake, in 98 UO back in the day] after they each got guardwhacked...for attacking a tamed cow, claiming UO was...'too violent' !

What I have learned over the past ten and a half years playing UO is that in a lot of cases where people claim to have these wonderful "real lives" and they claim they must cut down their UO time, in all actuality they have pretty pathetic lives and they actually increase their UO time under a different character or use a name change token. Most of them are unemployed and dont even have a GED. Havent you ever wondered why you know fewer doctors and lawyers in real life than you do on the siege forums?

Then again some people just like to say they're in law school or the likes just for the attention so people can pat them on the back and say what how wonderful it is that they're doing something positive with their lives when all they really doing is locking themselves in their step dad's basement and living to play UO 20 hours a day and sleeping, pooping, and eating the remainding 4 hours. I could go on and on but I think you get the point.

If $150,000 of debt is wonderful, I guess life is wonderful. Studying for 12 hours a day and sleeping for 5. Always feeling like you're failing every single test only to have the test after that around the corner. I can show you a copy of my students loans if that'll make everyone feel better. I know it doesn't do it for me. Maybe you can help me pay it off, then maybe it'll seem more real to you too?

But you're right, I guess people lie all the time. Then again, I'm pretty sure the 20+ cadavers in the anatomy lab was real. The smell was real, I can tell you that much. Mock patient interviews with actors, going to local clinics and helping interview real patients, it all feels pretty real.

This is also the first time I've talked about real life on Stratics before. I always liked to separate real life from UO life. But now that I don't play seriously anymore it seems kind of pointless to keep up that barrier. I'm actually 28 years old and have a degree in Biology. I've had multiple jobs in a couple hospitals, I have my EMT license, and I've shadowed doctors in ERs -- all part of the game of getting accepted.

And to Chardonnay's credit, he's right about me being a Trammie on Atlantic. But it's also just a joke guild. And the joke isn't against the people I'm fighting (dying) against. It's the fact that pvping on easy mode is even possible on a production shard that's the joke.

And if you want to point and laugh at someone who used to play Siege, but now logs on to a production shard on a joke guild to relieve stress is funny... I guess that's okay too.

edit: I also apologize for my previous posts in this thread. I was just under a lot of stress this weekend and all of last night. The test is over and I think I did horribly.

Considering, like he said, Chad has only ever post concerning his rl life was to say that he was accepted into med school, then his guild started to fall apart and all the main players went their separate ways. (more or less) What he's saying has far more merit than your speculations.

@Chad: I've heard that med school favors candidates with degrees other than that of a scientific branch... What percent of your peers also have a science degree?
