guildmate scatched the painting, which is Arty 7, right in front of me.... we were making a sweep the in the first 24 hours and got what i think is the vast majority of the stealables...

YES very busy... a few of the items do not have static locations, so it is a bit of a trek to check all the spots!!

I think I must have been the first thief in the Abyss on my shard but with 100 stealing I just kept failing and failing. I missed out on the portrait, the book of truth and the gargish memorial statue.

Oh I totally agree the spawn timers and all should be FAR more random.. as well as where things spawn.... they should have at least 10 spawn spots each... with a very random timer. Make thieves work for it...

My thief so far has gotten jugs of rotgut... spoiled wine.... 2 styles, and some stolen wine.... and about 5 or 6 webs. Which are awesome... I wanna get my hands on that painting and a few dying plants... and most definitely that book of truth. Hoping to get lucky there.

That was not quite accurate of me to say... What I should have said is that there are variations of a few of the items, for example, the different Rarity Type of a web that will spawn in a different location. Once you have found where a particular Stealable spawns, it will always be at that location.
