My Skree went Poof

I decided to do some Beacons so I gathered my crew and took out my Pirating Skree, checked his lore and went to the ship. Found a beacon 2 screens from where I was parked. The skree was on the ship fighting the orcs.

Got some texts from customers so that toon died. Brought him back and somewhere along the line I had 0/5 pets. No skree near or no skree body. He had never died so I dought he did now. He was only out of the stable for 20 mins at most. Did all the retrieval things.

Luckily it wasn't my Triton!

Another player lost his Triton when he walked out of the slugs and recalled to Luna the pet stayed in slugs. Someone told him the pet was there and he went back within a few minutes and it went poof.

Besides my Windrunner, I have never lost a pet before this.

I did not get Cargo from the Beacon on that toon. That makes me mad!

Sorry to hear about your pet!

Do you have any more info about the incident?

Where you close to a server line?

How long were you busy with texting?

Did you have a pet ball for the skree and did you try it?

Did you log out/back in after you were rezzed?
Assume you did, but in being busy with texting did you forget that?

Took him to ship. Found a Beacon real fast. Pet was attacking orcs and Sea things. Not near server lines, I hate backpack closing so I only go near them when taking ship to port in Zento.

I cant remember if I saw stable count when he was dead or when I ressed him. But when alive, recalled to stable to see if pet went there. No. Logged off and on. No pet or pet name on screen that others see when you log off. Went to blackthorns and looked in the stable near entry. No pet. went back to ship. Logged off and on again. No pet. Crossed server lines at sea and land. No pet.

I ressed him quick because beacon was almost gone so I wanted cargo. He was alive when beacon blew up, no cargo.

I have never used a pet ball.

That's just weird... I fear when my pets teleport onto the beacon that they will vanish when it goes down... deleted with the boat.

This is an issue I think all tamers should DEMAND to be resolved in a way to stop and prevent the loss of pets...

I for one am sick and tired of having bonded pets randomly go wild... and fortunately, have never had one randomly vanish yet... and I do say yet... I'm still sad and upset over the loss of my trained pink hiryu... I miss her terribly and the more and more I hear things like this the less and less I want to play.

I don't think I can bear to lose another precious pet.

I found a rando pink hiryu the other night on the ay back from a travesty I stabled my triton and went and tamed it. Sadly I had no stable room so I ended up just giving it away

I send a NOOB to destard to test his new Triton. He called me because he said a good horse was there.

Was a 120d AI/plain mage PP NM. Damn thing was mean. I tamed and gave to him after we asked in chat.

He is the player that lost his Triton...

Pet loyalty should just make the pet stand still when low until fed.

Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately pet losses happen rarely enough where they are nearly impossible to duplicate and devs just ignore the issue. Does not help that tamers who have not experienced it, think it's because you were doing something wrong.

Hmm... Wondering if having the pet linked to a summoning ball might help in the future... or at the very least sort of be like evidence to a GM that your pet is in purgatory and might give them like an ID# to help summon the pet back.

Pet Ball doesnt help we lost 2 nightmares with Magic Mastery and these were hooked up to pet balls logging off and on didnt work pet balls didnt work we were close to server line they were on pirate ship that crossed it..Gm said Suks to be you.

There where some issues with pet and monsters teleporting ages ago so they took that ability away. Now we have thoose problems back with magery mastery, either find the solution this time or take the teleport ability away again.
