Last night I logged onto my tamer go get his GGS. I've been putting him off lately. I log in to find him sitting atop the Ki-Rin I tamed for his last GGS. No biggie, but I decide to release it before going to get another one. I figure having a creature who hates regular monsters will help keep the orcs up the road from stopping by. I step outside my house, release the beast and recall off and tame another for my gain. I take the new one to the zoo and then back home to log out.
Here comes my best move of the evening.
I decide to take my thief hunting with his smugglers edge. I log in and find him at my keep in Fel. A quick recall and I'm standing at the steps to my house in tram. Next thing I know I'm under attack by the Ki-Rin who decides he doesn't like my very negative karma and my perma grey thief. I run into the house and hit my hid macro quickly thinking I can escape. Just about dead, I open my runebook and decide to recall back to fel where I'll be safe.
"You have been revealed!"
Dirt nap.
The moral of the story?
Grey thieves who live in Tram houses shouldn't have old pet Ki-Rin's on monster patrol.
