So...
I ended up with a 70's imbued suit I made with as much stamina I could put on it.

I have 155 dex with modified cursed jewelry. I use a bladed staff. My swing speed was 1.75 no SSI.

If you havent tried building a max warrior, I recommend it. I can solo UEVs, take on 2 wind elementals and the goal is loot. I refuse to be an elf so I'm not quite a sampire but the principle works great for PvM.

So...
First off the bladed staff is an elemental slayer something like 75 life leech, 61 mana leech and 55 stamina leech. I powdered it up to 175 because that is all I will need.

WorkED great... THE GLITCH. After killing many monsters, my bladed staff disappeared from my hand in Trammel. I was chaining Armour Ignor, I hit for 161 points and chained AI again only to be told I do not have the needed skill.

The Bladed Staff vanished. Not destroyed. I checked my Journal. Shows AI AI hits, the comment you dont have skill.

Not in pack. Not on ground etc. JUST GONE.

Anyway, I just made another one.

Anyone else have this glitch happen?

Keep us updated RWH, interesting. My only thought was wondering if it went 'poof'. I think there's been a change to how damage affects durability (dunno when). Back when... you could figure that a mob gets an exceptional shot to your neck (gorget damage), or various places (arms/chest/legs/etc). An item would get damaged more often usually depending on the individual mob.
In One run (fight ele's and loot til weight limit hit & leave), I lost 30+ points off a gorget (down to 3) - Excessive - Figured it was just a Dev implemented idea to give mortality to items thus insuring the need for crafters, but yes, this was a Shame created non-repairable gorget which started off low anyways.

What was wierd is I just checked the durability and it was like 43/176 or something.

Plus in the journal I think I would have gotten, you weapon was destroyed.

It just jumped from AI damage entry... to you do not have the ability to do that move or something like that... just vanished.

Ill check my pack when I get home.

The good news is I am not a sampire but a human bushido/warrior. I guess if I got to mobs, I need to go all the way. But I can solo shame guys

with
88 bushido
100 parry
115 swords
100 anat
100 tactics
100 healing
96 chiv

Close to that... so my point is you don't need to max your players to solo key monsters in shame.

By the way the cursed jewelry rocks for this template. 20% HI or DI 35% damage. Lots of stuff.

Sampires do not have to be elves you know.

I have what Raven has, sans bush, chiv, parry, and only GM levels. I'm getting owned by the renamed SA fire renowns (fire elementals). What benefits could being an elf give?

Most sampires are elves because of woodland armor and mana. Dex doesn't really matter for sampires stamina does because swing speed is based on stamina and stamina is easy to add. There are not many elven artifacts that boost dex.

Woodland armor gets more bonus resists from materials than leather/metal. With heartwood you also can get DI and HCI on your crafted pieces. This can free up mods on weapon or jewels and reduce the number of imbues needed to hit max resists. Elves also get +20 mana, which makes chaining AI easier.

I use a human in barbed leather armor for what it's worth. My suit and character are not perfect.

Woodland armor gets much more resist. There are also the mods.

Hey sooooo if I equip a shield does parrying automically default to the weaker shield chance to parry?

That is with bushido, parry, 1 handed weapon, and shield... it looks like the higher chance to parry with a weapon is removed because I am holding a shield.

Id want the shield for stats.

Yes if you hold a shield your going to almost never parry. At least not if you have bushido.

Elves can survive slightly easier against the UEV's because they do 100% energy damage, and Elves get a cap of 75 in energy resist.

ahh yea.. thats true, most of my chars are humans and i just use (faction morph earings) which allows you to equip "elf only" items. I just the Bramble Coat for 150 luck 15 dci

Yeap that’s a good way around it if you are willing to go faction. I think most of my sampires are elves but its not absolutely critical that they are.

I have no problem soloing the UEVs on a human sampire. I use a golden leafblade and throw on a gold shield for extra luck. I do not see a noticable difference in the damage I take from a 2 handed weapon Parry) or leafblade with equipped shield. Max DCI seems to be just as good. You should be able to mow through them in around 5 min.

this is where you went wrong..
175 doesnt last too long if you chain AIs and momentum strikes..

maybe 2 or 3 hours tops that item would go poof if you didnt go repair it.

from what hes said, it seems it didnt even hit 0/175 so it couldnt have broken. He would have had about 175 lines of "Item needs repair" in his journal before it broke.

As Mirt said, don't need to be an elf to be a sampire. Sampire comes from a samurai (bushido) vampire (necromancy). So it is the necromancy for vampiric form that you are missing.

And yes, the one guy lost a crystalline ring and now you lose a weapon. I think there is definitely something buggy about shame. I'm starting to be glad I didn't go rush in there right away and am thinking to stay away until the problem is found and fixed.

Well just to update the bladed staff wasn't in my pack last night so it is gone.

It was not at 0/175 or anything like that. Besides if it was I would be getting message of your equipment is severly damaged and I would lose 1.

When the bladed staff disappeared I check the journal.

I saw entry for armour ignor (last successful one)
then entry saying lack the needed skill to do that move (or something)

My bladed staff was gone.

If it were destroyed, something would have shown between journal entries.

Ah well. Just gone.

Your pack wasn't full and you weren't overweight, were you?
Nope. Room in pack. Not weight maxed. Just chaining armor ignor. Regular game play.

The ground was cover by 2 dragons and lots of people. When the weapon vanished. I almost immediate hit the keys to tag all the stuff around me. Nothing was on the ground.

Just one of those things.

I am playing the same style with my new bladed staff. Ill see what happens.

This is from memory but I am hitting for like 151 to 165 with armour ignor.

Standard is 49 to 65.

I have 46% damage on my weapon and 35% damage on a bracelet

The weapons is 60% physical 40% fire. I use bronze.

I use enemy of one and consecrate weapon. It is an elemental slayer.

I can check it out Sunday and post more.
When a bard hits him, I tend to do 170 damage.
