my gf accidently condemned her house...

hi guys! my gf was trying to see what plots would fit around our friends new house when she, in her somewhat tired state, managed to hit 'ok' instead of 'cancel' and place a house. this has obviously condemned her current house.

how do we fix it? i thought that she could just drop the new one, trade me the old one, and then me trade her mine, then we wait a week and swap back, but she says you cant do that?

what can we do to fix this? because at the moment the only options seem to be move all the junk into the new house, drop the old house, wait a week, go replace the old house, then rebuild, which she doesnt want to do because she really doesnt want to redecorate again, or pay however much to upgrade a trial account to full account, then use that account to trade the house to for a week...

as the current problem stands, no she wouldnt be able to take your house right away... I see she has 2 choices

1. if she dropped her newly placed house, she could drop her old one & replace right away, but yah shed have to move everything out then redeco it (personally, with the constant changes to housing bugs, Id avoid this, )

or

2. As long as you trust each other.......you could wait a few days , til it gets greatly & she could trade it to you, then wait a few days & trade her yours... then in a week, ( when ur able to take a house & you can check the placement tool for that) you can trade houses back

only solutions i know.. maybe soem oen else wll have a better one

lol if she tries to gip me out of a house while sitting in the same room, there could be arguments afoot

option 2 will work will it? when she's greatly worn, we will be able to trade? and ofc vice versa? then that sounds like the best option.

yah she can trade u hers but theres a timer still on her acct...

thats y I said wait til her house is about greatly, (think thats like 5 days?)

then have her trade u hers... which should allow u to trade her your house a few days later..

then when the placement tool says u can take a house, trade back

since ur living together, trust isnt an issue

can't you demolish the one that was placed, than just transfer the condemned house onto another account?? than transfer back??
or, when its condemned i am not sure if remember correctly or not. but isn't there a option to make it primary by double clicking on the house sign? seem to remember doing this a few months back. I could be wrong my memory doesn't serve me well I hope everything works out for you both g/l :>

What about dropping the new house and then doing the "I wish to resize my house" thing on the original house? You can avoid the timer issue and it would also remove the decay factor. Granted she would have to move everything out and redo the house from scratch but I think that would resolve the timer issue without having to transfer houses and hope you can transfer them before they drop.

These housing rules are INSANE. Sure, they sorta made sense about 6 or 7 years ago, when this game was popping, but today there is so much empty real estate out there that it simply doesn't make sense. We should be able to have 1 house per char, or 1 per shard. At the very least, we should be able to place a house, condemn our old house, and if we trade, sell, or destroy the new house before the old one falls, the old one should be "uncondemned"

I know that my little rant doesn't help your situation, but I've been thinking about this for a while, and this got me going.
