Most damaging pet at GM taming

Around GM taming, what's the most damage output on a pet?

Hiryu seems pretty good, just wondering if there might be something more damaging if I were to sacrifice some survivability.

Ignoring packs, anyway.

Hiryu's are pretty slow, but the greaters do have a nice dismount attack.. when it actually uses it. I think a rune beetle/baki combo would be pretty deadly depending on what you're looking to do with the pets. Also have to take pet training into consideration. Anything that isn't fully trained is gonna go down PDQ and won't do near the damage you might expect.

Make friends with a shadow ele if you're looking for quick[ish] pet training.

no packs? =[ well if you insist...

best way to fill 5 controll slots is beetle and something.

you can use mare, make, kirin, unicorn

kirin and unicorn are weaker slightly, but honestly you wont notice a huge speed difference, since what your mainly relying on is dp, bleed, armor corrupt, and duel casters.

if you do come around to see logic, frenzieds and hell hounds are the highest damage output pets currently in the game.

Take the advice from someone in TNT or JSV as these turkeys mostly pvp with pets.

+10 taming ring and a GD. :(

Other than that I'd say Beetle and Bake combo is pretty painful.

Did the pet AI changes make a noticeable difference for packs? It has been several years since I had pack hunting animals but I recall things normally transpired about like this:

FrenzyA
FrenzyB
FrenzyC
FrenzyD
FrenzyE

*dragon approaches*

Skylark: "Attack, my adorable but slightly ******** minions!"

FrenzyA: "I'm hungry!"
FrenzyB: "C is touching me!"
FrenzyC: "I'm not touching B"
FrenzyD: "Can you repeat that?"
FrenzyE: zzzzzzzzzzzzz...

dragon: "RAAAAAAAAAAR!"

Skylark: "oOoOOooo"

Castor always liked to use rune beetle + mare, but he only did PvE with his pets. As far as appearances, mare is one of the cutest pets in the game IMO.

I've only noticed it with single pets, but the pet AI is much, much better.

They're still less than ideal when there are line of sight issues though...

"KILL, MY PRETTIES!"
"But the 20 ton dragon is standing behind a flag pole, we'll never reach him. Let's stare at a wall."

You mean my pack of fully trained greater chickens isn't ideal for this?

Now that is funny! That pretty much sums up my experience with packs as well. :blushing:

Packs are the bee's bombdiggity knees, as long as you've got someone/thing else to take the focus of the target.

They die too easy alone on anything worth hunting.

It's still do-able, but it takes away the ability to hunt while eating and watching TV.

I don't have UOA for Incog.

I have to actually, like, click on bandages and stuff.
