That's awesome! You'll have to check out City Center when you are out there. I heard the Aria hotel and casino just opened. What I've read most say it's nothing special, but the architecture looks pretty cool. Plus I'm sure the slots are really tight, to pay for that massive project. Hopefully you hit a jackpot on your cruise to help fund the trip!

I will definitely check out City Center. Last time we were in Vegas, maybe 3 years ago, the new Trump casino and I think Planet Hollywood, was being built. We will be hitting all the new ones plus some old favorites. No need to waste time touring the Hoover Dam again. BTDT. Now it will be a pure gambling trip except the the Beatles Cirque D'Soleil show. And of course drinking starting at 10am Vegas time.

Sounds like a plan, and hey that's 1pm your time, so nuttin wrong with that!
When we went in 2006 our flight was delayed and we arrived at midnight Vegas time (3am EST time). Went directly to The Palms so my dad could get a tattoo at Hart and Huntington tattoo before they closed. That's when I was a gambling noob and we played WOF not realizing you needed to max coin to spin the wheel! Anyway we finally left there by like 3:45am and made it to the Stratosphere to check in. In bed by 4:30am (7:30am EST).
Woke up at 9am Vegas time with my stomach telling me it's time to eat. I pigged out at the buffet, boy was it good, still remember the feeling haha
So most definitely nothing wrong with an adult beverage at that hour!

As far as I know the Trump place is just a hotel tower, no casino. How boring..:loser:

Well I'm back to having more "fun at da casino"! I made it down to Atlantic City about 1pm this afternoon. Went to Harrah's and made a quick donation. Won a little, but it was nothing to write home about. I did play enough to get free parking, so damn skippy! haha

I then went over to the Borgata about 2:30 to check in and play a bit. Had an early dinner at Bread and Butter, Wiggly Bacon and Cheese! It's basically a grilled cheese with all this bacon. Wow, that was so up my ally. I'm going to be hungry again, it's going be between Panda Express or another Wiggly! Probably will opt for Chinese. I then played some more, was shown little lovin. I came back up to the room and watched some King of Queens reruns. Bored and knowing I need to space out my gambling, I decided to take a trip over to Trump Marina to see what that place was like. Hello 1980s! It had an old feeling to it, but it did have a Hooters! In the atrium area they had some dance competition with all these old ladies dancing, it was quite a site. I took my $40 to the slots, ordered a bottled water from the CW, which BTW wasn't even close to a Borgata babe..lol, and by the time she returned I had $5 left. I grabbed my water and cashed in my $5 ticket and left the place. The outside looks like a factory and just has a weird vibe to it. Now I'm going to go back down and sip on some alcoholic beverages and some penny slots. I have a few new drinks I've discovered and figured I'd try them here for free with the $1 tip. This will be round #1 of gambling. Then we will have meal #2. Then we'll go back for the final round. I'd like to end the night with some $$, but so far my lucky seashell isn't lovin me!

Tomorrow morning I'm heading to the boardwalk to play at the Taj Mahal. Then the slot tourney at 2pm and then more gambling and King of Queens reruns. Oh and more greasy and unhealthy meals. Gotta love AC! I'll edit this post later to report how I did, that way Trish doesn't have to merge them later..

Sunday Morning Update:

I forgot to update last night, so here is a recap. I tried a Black Russian, which is vodka and coffee liquor. Well that ended up being two and after two I'm spent! I managed to make it down to Panda Express for some grub. Playing wise I couldn't get much out of my $50 the first round. The second round I was playing Davinci Diamonds at $.40 a spin and hit for $103! I was impressed and quickly took that over to the $1 machines that I exploded on last time. Well lets just say they wanted that money back, as no love was shown. About 10pm I gave up and took what money I did have left back to the room and called it a night.

This morning for unknown reasons I awoke at 5:30am, so much for sleeping in! It was way too early to hit the gaming floor, so I settled on some Nick at Nite reruns of The Cosby Show and Family Matters. DID I DO THAT?! Stupid Urkle..lol Bread and Butter opens at 7am, so I took an Andrew down at 6:45. I should have just taken it to the cashier and be done with it, as basically that's what happened to it! Over to BB for some more Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich. Awesome as always, and it was free with my comps. If anything from last night, I did earn a lot of those!

Now I'm killing time to head over to the Taj Mahal for a few hours, and hopefully they clean my room in the meantime. I gotta gather all the freebies so they can restock! I got excited when I first came to my room, as it was all the way at the end of the hall thinking I got upgraded to a suite. It was one of the last rooms before you hit end where the suites are at. This place just keeps teasing me!

The slot tournament results are posted at 8:30pm, so I'll probably only go to VP tonight. I want to be first to know if I win the $5k grand prize! (Gotta be some money for me here somewhere..haha!)

All I'm going to say it I've got a lot of Benjamins in pocket! The slot tournament was uneventful, I don't even think I placed in the top 500 lol But they did have an open bar and lots of fancy desserts and such.
I also haven't touched today's bankroll, all from the Taj and Borgata's money. Woohoo!!

Haha, I wanted to throw the lucky seashell back in the ocean after Saturday! lol Sunday was such a turn around it was crazy. I had close to $1200 in my safe at one point, but I donated about $200 back later that night. The seashell is moody apparently, but it hooked me up in the end!
Now I have to take my Benjamins back to the bank, where they will probably think I'm some type of drug dealer or hustler haha!

I hope you have a winning trip! At this point I could technically possibly make it, as I may have off Thursday-Friday too. But I don't drop my dad off to go to Daytona till 6:30-7pm. Then another 4 hour drive would get me there close to midnight. Then I have to be back Friday by 4pm to work for my mom. And THEN Saturday I might be going back to New Jersey with a friend to pick up his new car. THEN next Thursday-Friday we are going to Columbus,OH. So as much as I'd love a spontaneous trip, I think I better stay in PA haha

Yeah I don't know what to believe. Accuweather is saying 6-7 inches here with 40-50MPH winds. They had a story in the paper today only saying 1-3 inches with the winds. Hopefully it stays warm enough and is just rain down there so you can just skip on in there with no troubles. I'll rub the shell for good luck!

well we put off our trip til next Thursday-Friday. I woke to NO flipping snow here but Jersey wasn't looking too good so we canceled. I really didn't want to get tangled with hurricane winds on the Delaware bridge. LOL!

I wondered if you decided to brave it, think you made a good choice as it looks like Jersey is getting pounded with white on the radar. Not that getting snowed in at a casino is a bad thing, but getting there might have been the fun part! I'll call the Borgata and tell them to put the lucky shell in the vault for safe keeping haha!

If the weather is good Sunday morning I might go out to Mohegan Sun to "double dip" on free slot play. It flips over to the next week at 5:59am, so I will try to get there by 5:30 so I can use both weeks on the one visit. This is of course that I drag my butt out of bed at 4am, but for double free slot play, I'll probably do it!

So far, we are on for this Thurs-Fri. Yes, I have seen some snowstorm brewing. Ugh! I just hope it stays away. My mother said we are going even if we have to rent a Hummer limo. LOL! She also has been giving all of us these so called "lucky" things to bring. So far she has given me some hideous bracelet and a "Lucky Penny" she bought for $1.50 I told her the only one lucky there was the person that made $1.49 off of her.

I got invited by a friend to join them for an Atlantic City bus trip on a Saturday in April. It's $28, plus you get a free play voucher when you get there, which makes the trip basically free. Heck the tolls cost almost that as it is, so what the hey. Come on lucky shell hook a brother up!

I'd be there, but I'll be on my way to Columbus Thursday. If I can go the opposite direction on I-80 without them noticing, I'll try haha
The weather looks like rain for the most part, so you should be able to get there without the aid of the Hummer Limo! However that would still be cool.

So far I have nothing else in April to take off work for, I'll do my best to try to join you then! Just let me know when and where whenever you figure.

Nope, that's a different Jay!
Well we went to it last year on the Saturday and it was crazy packed with the people. The rumor was that Friday was slower, so we'd try that. Well it was just as worse if not more than the Saturday, crazy people all over the place.

We went out Thursday night and stayed at the Hyatt which is connected to the convention center. Friday morning I was scared as the elevator door opened and it was filled with meat heads and women who looked very manly. I was able to squeeze in, but it was quite uncomfortable! Walking back to the room with my breakfast in the hall this bikini clad chick came out and what looked like to be her pimp followed. I was like woah woah lol
That's the big thing with this expo. Bikini clad chicks who are just hired models (deemed "fitness models") who have no idea about the products to give out samples and bags. I told the one it looked like she had a boring job and she just giggled and turned away! rolleyes: We waited 90 minutes in the MuscleTech line to get an autograph from Jay Cutler. After this the convention floor was "butt to butt" with people and just walking around was near impossible. We got what we could and got the heck out of Columbus!

I only went again because I knew there was Steak N Shake involved and some other eating opportunities that do not exist here in PA, so it was a win win situation! After we left the convention center we went to the Ohio Deli for the Dagwood challenge that was featured on Man Vs. Food. It was an awesome sandwich, but it kicked my @$$! After Columbus we came halfway back to Youngstown to stay. Here we had Lonestar Steakhouse for dinner. After that we topped it off with some Coldstone Creamery. We were scared though driving around Youngstown as we passed this like abandoned factory and these two chicks were having a confrontation. *Doors Locked*
It was a freaky area as you go from a lot of development to the middle of no where. You come over a hill and BAM you have every restaurant chain known to man in front of you. Panda Express, White Castle, Red Lobster, more Steak N Shake.. We managed to get back to the Hampton Inn after 2 near misses of running a red light and that confrontation between the two chicks. It was a fun Friday night in good ole Youngstown!

Oh and we topped it off with some Denny's Ultimate Omelet for breakfast before we headed back home. We made it back to PA around 1:30pm. The interesting things don't stop here though! I had to go to Staples for a new router and some other things, so I stopped at the Chinese Buffet next door to grab some dinner. I go to pay and these guys in front of me start asking the woman what China is like. She goes "I don't know what you mean, please pay". Ok fine they pay and leave. She weighs my to go box and in the meantime starts talking very fast and what seemed angrily to the other girl. I'm like translating what she is saying and I think it was something like:

"Stupid American idiots, I'm only here to pay off slave ship debt. I hope to get promoted to sushi waitress very soon!"

But anyway, it was a fun two days!

We never went to AC. My youngest got the stomach flu on Tues and stayed out of school the rest of the week. We then planned on leaving this am for a Sun-Mon trip but my mom remembered she has theater tickets for today. So now we are going tomorrow finally!!! Still staying at Bally's but hitting the Borgata for the day before going to Bally's. So far weather looks great, no one is sick, and nobody has any other plans. This is our 4th reservation there in the last two weeks. LOL! I was getting tired of canceling and making new ones. This time tomorrow I will hopefully be sitting in front of a lucky slot!

Well Kenny I had much better luck this trip. We got to the Borgata around 2. It took forever to get the car valeted. Sat there for 20 minutes waiting for them to move other cars. We were dying to get in there and win some money!

I only had $50 in slot dollars from them so started off with that. I found the Stinking Rich penny machine and had some good luck. Won a little over $200 from that with a few minutes. Got bonus within bonus 4 times! Was a lot of fun. From there I went to the big wheel of fortune game where they have the two seater sets around them. It too was a penny machine I think. I got the wheel bonus almost right and spun and won 20,000 pennies. Played a bit more, got a few more bonuses and come away with $300. Went around playing here and there pretty much hitting good but had some losses. I left the Borgata almost $600 up and didn't even use any of my money. Not bad for 4 hours of work.

We grabbed dinner at the Met, love those burgers, before heading over to Bally's. We checked into tower rooms, which are very nice, and headed back out to play. I had $50 bonus bucks from them to use too.

Again, I hunted down some Stinkin Rich machines. It took awhile to find them as they were hiding in Coyote Kates. Played there a bit and won some more money. Not a lot but was able to play. I spyed the nickel Get Nuts and started playing those at $1 a spin. Very quickly I got the bonus and it was awesome. I was able to get all the little doors open and get all the extra spins and multipliers. In the end I was getting 14x my bet for every winning line. One bonus got me almost $500!

Rachel and I headed over to Caesars around midnight. We were having fun and winning on more Stinkin Rich. Rachel informed me some guy seemed to be stalking her. I looked behind her and this little youngish Asian guy was sitting on a chair behind her and he was literally facing her with his legs over the back seat of his chair. He looked harmless enough and Rachel wasn't too concerned. I turned my back and walked about 10 ft when I hear Rachel scream Holy ***!! MOM!!!! I turn to see her standing there looking terrified and see that guy quickly walk away. He had walked up behind her, fell into her lap and grabbed her chest. He then left. After dragging Rachel off her winning Stinkin Rich machine we tried to follow and find security as the same time. Never found him. I'm sure he went on to grope other girls in other casinos. Finally had to fill out a report and they pulled the film from the camera where she was sitting. Was scary! After that Rachel's luck really ran out for the evening. She ended the night saying, not only did she lose $200 but the only thing she got was groped from an asian guy. She wondered if she would get Mad Cow disease. No, I said, more like Mad Chow. LOL! We returned to the room around 2:30 and went to bed.

The next morning I found that my luck didn't carry over from the night before. LOL! We grabbed a quick breakfast at Goldtooth Gerties and headed back over to Stinkin Rich and Get Nuts. Rachel was losing left and right so I was giving her money along with losing money myself. It was all a lot of fun though. We played and lost pretty much the rest of the day. Ended up eating comped at the buffet there before heading out.

I came away around $100 up from the money I took. Not bad considering we got free rooms and free food. We had a great time and I made it home in record speed. Only took 2 1/2 hours from AC to my neighborhood. The trip usually takes us 3 1/2. Zooooooooooooom!

Oh my gosh! Before I left for work this morning I read Rachel's FB status and knew I was in for a story! Glad the scary Asian stalker didn't do anything else, what a freak. I hope they tracked him down. I've seen some interesting individuals near the boardwalk that I've questioned my safety (and dignity lol) at times! Mad Chow lol

Good for you for coming out $100 ahead, Stinkin Rich HOOKED you up! It sounds like it made Rachel 'Stinkin Poor', but it has a tendency to that too.

After what seemed to be the longest work week ever, (4) 10 hour days getting up at 4:30am each day, while it has been sunny and 60 outside, I'm caught up on work and have been given Monday off! So where do you think I'm gonna go? Guess!

To the Jersey Shore to hang out with the guidos and guidettes at the Borgata! I got Sunday night Comp'd at the Water Club and lots of freebies. It only let me book 2 double beds, so I gotta find me a sugar mama to occupy that second bed!!

I should be to the events Sunday night, probably just VP, depends on if they give me any money or not! Wheee...

I went cruising down to Hollywood today for hopefully some paydirt. It was well worth it and I emerged $160 richer! Click here to read my report.

That $250 win on Stinkin Rich totally made the trip though. I had to let karma continue and pay for dinner for my friends at Applebees earlier. I don't have much left as everyone thought steak and shrimp was the way to go since I was paying, but hey it wasn't my money! Oh and those Asian Chicken Tacos are rockin, but a little expensive at $7 for 4.

On a another good note I'm back to work officially "full time" as of Monday, the first I've heard those words since December 2008. That's a "BIG WIN" in its own!
