Harvest Festival
When: Friday, November 1st, 7 pm east coast time.Where: Lycaeum (Can be accessed by using the North/West teleporter located in the hedges center of Moonglow)
The Events planned are a Feast, Musical Chairs; And No festival is complete unless there is a JOUST! (The scavenger hunt has been moved to another day due to time issues on my part)
Who is the best warrior in the land? Who is the Scariest Red, the Most Noble paladin? All citizens are welcome to enter. They can do so by paying the entry fee of 10,000 gold (in check form), a book with your name, your choice of 2-handed weapon, and your race. Place the book and check in a bag and drop it off in the mailbox at the vendor house located beside The Golden Pickaxe on the east side of Moonglow. This allows me to have rewards and a bracket made up before the event. I will allow entries the day of.
Joust Details
This is a traditional style mounted joust (gargoyles can fly). Players will start on opposing ends of a pre-determined track. When instructed they will run forward directly at each other at a medium to slow pace to ensure a swing (you could hit, you could miss) without stopping. Player will continue until reaching the place their opponent was in, and then wait until instructed to make another pass. This will continue until one player falls lifelessly to the ground.Disclaimer: this contest is just as much for show as a competition and to keep it as true to life as possible Warrior skills (swords, mace, lumberjack, fencing,) will have an upper hand due to the rules. However, if all goes well other competitions will follow that are designed to give other player types an upper hand. Ex. Mage duels, Archery Bouts, Mixed fighting, Team battles (defend the fort) Therefore interest and good being a good sport is paramount.
Rules
· No throwing or Archery weapons· No outside weapons or armor (weapons and armor will be provided; I will allow an exception to this rule. See below)
· All Weapons will be Two handed
· No wearable or drinkable Mods (4 pots will be given 1 strength, 1 agility, 2 refresh)
· No Healing of Any Kind (it would take all night otherwise)
· No Counts ( this is to the Death; but for fun)
· No Magic of Any Kind
· Pack must be empty before entering the ring (this includes spell and rune books.) – It will check to ensure fairness.

I could really use some help setting up and running the festival; Ru has already crafted the armor and has agreed to craft the weapons. I need a person or two to deco the Lycaeum and prep the jousting ring. I could also use one person to check the packs of contestants and to give the provided armor to the contestant going in and take the armor back once they exit. It would help make the process smoother. (Message Me or Find me In Game)
**exception to outside armor is that since there are elements of RP involve one can wear a suit fashioned in the town colors they represent. For example Moonglow’s colors are blue and yellow – so the armor is made of Valorite and Gold. If one was representing Yew the metal choice would be Shadow/Verite. The Armor Must be a player made chain/plate suit or plate suit, No imbuing, and made with a regular hammer (no runic). The basic rule no mods on armor. The armor must be approved please message me to meet once you have it and I will approve it as soon as I can.
