I pulled a Triton with Poison and Chivalry. But attacking a spiritually cu Sidhe I found myself dead in a moment without knowing why. There was a nearby satirus paragon. Is it possible that the Pet cast Spells in the area and also caught the satyr who obviously killed me? That's why I'm afraid to put Chivalry. Since then I always use Poison and Disco (since I don't know the other skills). From now i'll always put AI, and I will learn to use other options too.
Lore other people's pets. You will see AI/Chiv is quite common.

So the final verdict is that a chiv/ai bear will perform better compared to a chiv/ai CU or Lesser Hiryu? I mean, healing is a skill and it costs no mana. Life leech costs mana. right? it is high enought to be considered or no? Also for a CHIV/FWW/Ai build, best consider a triton or the bear?

The damage types make a difference. All 3 have different damages.

Cu is 50 Cold 50 Energy

Triton is 50 Physical 50 Energy

Ursine is 30 Physical 35 Cold 35 Energy

Most ???? HP things have higher physical resist than other resists, other than Dreadhorn.

Using a Cu as the control pet.

A Triton can get a better build but has 50% Physical damage.
A Bear can get a better build but has 30% Physical damage.

A bear is a Cu with some physical damage as far as damage goes.

Lore the high HP things you fight and choose the best pet.

Most tamers can use consume damage, which negates the need for healing or LL in many cases.

A Cu will kill a Paragon Balron faster than the other 2 because a Balron is lowest in cold and Energy resist.

Also T rex and Great Ape are low in cold and energy.

Hiryus only match Dreadhorns resists.

If you want to kill things the fastest, match the pets damage type with the targets resists.

I would assume a Bear would be a good Roof pet because of 3 damage types.

And as I found out, Life Leech is bad when fighting Scalis.

Sure you can run consume on any pet and kill most things, but not as fast as another pet in many cases.

Healing costs 10 mana to use, and it takes time for the pet to apply the bandage. The bandy healing can be blocked/interrupted by Poison/Bleed/Mortal Strike as well, where Life Leech is only blocked by Null Life (life leech attempts fail) or Corrupted Life (life leech attempts damage the leecher instead).

Several months after the Ursines were introduced, I see very few of these on the battlefield, versus the tried and true Triton and Cu. I prefer the Triton over Cu, as it can have higher wrestling (130), as well as higher resist spells (~190), at no scroll cost, and mounts are NOT needed for 90%+ of boss content. So, the relative non-existence of these in real use is telling.

Don't forget the Triton/Cu/etc healing skill can also trigger and heal the player. Though it's not really reliable/controllable.
Life leech is sort of gimmicky. The only way to really rock heal from damage is using skeletal dragons (command undead)...

A mage using death ray or spells with the right slayer can out damage any single pet.
mage damage

Once you realize that a mage can out damage the pet, it's not really too important whether it has 700 STR, or other cookie cutter builds like the Chiv/AI build.

I’m not sure I agree with this at all. I see a ton of bears. AI/Chiv bears also tend to sell for a lot more than non-Blaze Chiv/AI Cus.

Only speaking for myself, but I'm still very high on the Bears. I have two but you will not have seen me in game with them yet because I have not had time to train them. I did the meatball content up until the very end and then switched over to new Legacy. The amount of content in the last few months has been wonderful and I just not have had a chance to Circle back around to the Bears yet.

I also think there just will never been as many bears as Cus. The bears were available for a very limited time and cost a lot of points. Cus have spawned for a very long time.

An Ursine is a higher HP, Higher Stam Regen Cu that has some Physical damage. I used mine for Eclipsed Dawn.

The devs put pets in that fit in the event cycle. I love using the pet they put in to do the event. I have a Triton for each High Seas Boss. They put in the Dogs that can kill the MoE gates very quickly.
