I just made a gargoyle tonite and I added imbuing to the skill set starting out. Upon pulling all the skills under one skill tab I noticed that Imbuing was not showing up on the list. I had 50 points dedicated to the skill but it was nowhere to be seen. Is there a way I can fix this problem myself,or perhaps send in a bug report and hope they get around to fixing it themselves?

You can fix it if you know where your character files are. usually they are kept in documents/eagames/ultimaonline legacy/user data. then find the shard/char folder and copy a known correct "skillgrp.mul" file into the characters file that is missing the skill in question.

Even though it should be listed as a trade, they put Imbuing under the Magic skill directory.

Yeah I have seen that happen before,so I looked many times under each skill tab. Oh well I am going to try to follow Victim's advice and fix the files myself. :)

Well I tried to fix the problem by simply deleting the "skillgrp.mul" files and let the game add the folder back to my HD when I logged back on,but that didn't work. How can I find a correct file for this?

Just delete the whole char folder, or rename it. then launch the game and let it get recreated, then close back out and move back over the macro file if you do not want to recreate the macros.

I tried deleting character folders, and skill group folders. I even deleted the server folder in hopes that it would work. I am not having any luck getting that skill back into my viewable skill list. I checked every shard I have a character on,and each skill list is missing Imbuing as a skill. I am not sure why this is happening or why only one skill have been removed from the viewable list. If anyone can tell me how to solve this, please speak up. :stretcher:

I am not sure just what you're doing. but it sounds like you are trying to put all your skills in the new skill group. This is just a click and drag operation. You should find all the gargoyle skills in the Miscellaneous group at the top of the skills List. Why the dev's didn't place these skillls in their respective groups I don't know. Mysticism should be in the magic group, Throwing in the Combat group and Imbueing should have ben placed in the Trade Skills group. So these skills aren't missing they are just in the wrong section.

victoria, try making a new skill group after you ALT K open skills gump, and see if imbue etc are auto-added when you create new group.

and when someone tells you to delete stuff, please back it up first ... eee.

The imbuing isn't in any section that I can see. I have opened evey skill tab and looked for imbuing many, many times and it just isn't on my viewable list.
I can use the skill like normal and there is no problem on that end. I just can't see the skill or any skill gains at all unless I get a whole point of gains that pops up in the chat area of my screen.

what was listed above is the fasters and easiest way to do it.

i have found that some times i have to make a couple new groups to finally find the missing skill, but eventually you will find it.

i think the most ive had to make is like 3 sub groups to finally find the missing one, then move it back into the normal groups and delete the newlly made ones.

take all of like 3 seconds.
