Some "do gooder" must have moved them to deter scripters from taming them.

We do, however, have an apparently endless supply of boura spawning near Zento, Europa....

Wonder if something's been tweaked in the spawn map and it's gone a little weird.

boura are aggressive :(

im at 96 taming on my 2nd tamer and i remember there being a couple bulls in this pen?

this do gooder you speak of, if it is so, then by them thinking they are doing good they are actually causing problems and should be banned.

i just checked at server up and the bulls are still not here, do they have to be retamed everyday?

What happens is someone will tame the bulls and lead them away to someplace on the same subserver. Because they never left the subserver they will not respawn at the pen until they either leave the server or are killed. Generally its difficult to find them to kill or re-tame and move them. Personally I think these people are griefers and if they really have issues with people scripting they should page on them when they see them rather than play shard police and attempt to solve the problem by themselves. Server maintenance *should* reset the spawn, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Either way, the types of folks in question are usually pretty diligent when it comes to moving those bulls.

Slather yourself with some savage kin paint and head to the savage camp in central Ilsh and tame ridgebacks. Only trouble you should find there is the occasinal paragon that spawns.

Just buy some SoTs and be done with it. BTW: On Siege taming is easy to GM, along with every skill.

The bull disappearance isnt just a Pacific thing.. its happening on other shards too. What they are doing is loading them up onto a boat and hiding them in the water. Since they are still on the same subserver they wont respawn for about 3 days, when server up finally eats them. =/ Which sucks for those of us who are training the correct way. And I agree, this is griefing.

Yes, boura are aggressive. They move painfully slowly though. Even so, they are helpful as practice/learning step towards eventually taming high-end aggressives, most of which are rather faster.

As well as having bitey-teeth or hurty-hooves, high end tames often have fire breath, 120 poisoning, and/or magery to be heaping upon you as you attempt to tame the creature.

Boura are sweet lil ole things that give a playful nip every now and then if you happen to misjudge your lead taming distance.

I roleplay a cattle rustler. Snagging bulls and putting them on my boat is what I do.

:mad::mad::mad:
BTW: On Siege, one character only, must have magery to travel [gating only allowed], unless you walk everywhere, thus making yourself a target for every player looking to put a notch on the sword, must have some dex to push thru, all Felucca rules set, current cities under faction rule guards are broke, no insurance, must carry regeants, thus leaving stuff for the PK to loot off your dead body, on the plus side you can bless one single item, regardless of character/account age. So that favor sword on your PKer there cannot be lost. So every time you die, you need more regeants, armor, weapons, potions as all were looted off your body by the ones that Pk you. There is no bless items like the quivers you see on all Prod shards.

My archer on Siege. Carries gate scrolls. Wears the cheapest leather armor suit I can get since when I die from another players hands I know better then to try and get back to it.

Just an FYI... only the Highland Boura should be aggressive... unless they did some weird patch that I missed. The Lowland and Ruddy Boura should lumber along on their merry way... pretty much ignoring you. Sort of like big, ugly cows.

What Salya Sin said.

Lord Drakelord? And, erm, Sweeney plays Siege. Actually, my basic tamer does fairly well on Siege with just a pair of kits. Gate scrolls are win.

With the exception of an lrc suit generously gifted to me shortly after my arrival there, my suit is pure poo. This may very well be the reason I have never once been dry looted lol, but that's fact.

Siege is Siege. It's not for everyone, and doesn't pretend to be. That's one of the things I like most about it.

Ya, I did Siege a few years back, when we had multi homes on other shards. Its was ok when I had a house there, was able to keep extra stuff in storage, currently I am friend to a Siege Player there, but old age has caught up with me and PvP is not for me today. Most I do now on Siege is log in to trade or res.

Yeah, make sure you BAN that person that's moving the bulls so scripters can't sit there all day, but don't even get up off your a$$ and investigate the Taming scripts. You know, the ones that will follow the bull, tame it,kill it, and then return to the exact center of the pens....

Yup exactly, i see the same scripts runnin all the time too...Always running clockwise and exactly when tamed renames the bull to null and then flamestrikes em. Please leave the bulls for the poor scripters.

actually, i have a rather really nice uoa macro that tames bulls,
i use alt click follow, and tame. its really nice what you can do with macros..

but why is it your concern what "scripters" do with their time, are you put out by these "scripters" so much that you have to go out of YOUR way to tame the bulls and move them to another location just so those "scripters" cant "script" up taming??????

all i can say is WOW.. get a LIFE...

LOL at those who call this griefing...

Those bulls aren't yours. First come, first served...

There's only about 15 other static bull spawns I can think of off the top of my head, not to mention great harts, polar bears, etc...

But no, gotta have 'em all in one little pen, eh? Laziness at it's finest. Get out and play the game, already. Sheesh.

But why is it your concern that the person who moves bulls or kills them in the pen must always get banned when you are free to go elsewhere to tame or leave and come back, or simply find the bulls that were moved? Why is it your concern that GMs MUST assist you on this? No one owns a spawn. Complaining about it it pointless. There are plenty of places to work taming.

someone may have herded them away too... you never know... perhaps a conspiracy to ammass all the bull they can in a short period of time before the harvest.

probably because it was meant for those bulls to be there?
what would you do if someone lured away all 4 cus from the swoop area if it was possible and stuck them on a boat somewhere you cant find?

oh wait, that would be different tho? cause you cant script tame a cu?

this whole scripter vigilante justice crap is getting very annoying.. i cant go a whole 10 minutes in heartwood without some jerk trying to get my attention, then calling gms to show up and ask me what day it is, or what time it is.. now i cant go tame a couple bulls in a very easy location to get a couple gains.. oh wait, the other day some certain guild members lured down a few of those red void monsters to try to kill my miner.. witch for some reason when you call guards in termur nothing happens.. i also called the gms on them for that..

and if you think for ONE second that is completely acceptable then you go mine for hours and hours with a miner with NO fighting skills witch was not wearing any armor who was overweight by ore and trying to run from some void creatures yelling guards and see how fun it is..

Yes it's lame, but so you can't tame in a very easy location. If you refuse to move on then it's your fault and you let griefers win in preventing you from training. But there are plenty of other easy locations to go to. If you don't know of any then simply ask your fellow tamers for suggestions. Jhelom farms isn't required to gain taming.

And so what if someone calls a GM on you...if you're not doing anything illegal then no big deal...very few people complain about having to take a couple seconds to type a small response to a GM. Are you those few who complain about having to respond to a GM?
