Anyone have tips for catching the torches?

Make sure you zoom out on your character all the way and watch the shadow of the torch on the ground and stay a couple steps ahead of it. It makes things a lot easier.

Go do it in the Exodar. The ground is free of pattern mostly and it's usually empty there, plus what Eldorian said.

Where do I find a Midsummer Festival merchant? I've been all over the map and cant find one.
I think I'm the biggest WoW dumbass in the game, lol.

There is one in Rutheran Village in Darnassas and I beleive another in Kharanos outside Ironforge, as well as Goldshire outside Stormwind...essentially check all the major cities.

I must be blind, lol, all I've been able to find are Midsummer Suppliers.
Hmmmmm, unless they are the same thing.

That would be the vendor.

Yeah. I found doing the tossing quest in Darnassues was a bad idea. It took forever. Went out to exodar and it got done right quick.

Is it outside or actually in Exodar?

Ironforge is easier too, but if you want to aviod people Exodar is the way to go

OK where in the cities are these locations, I must be blind I found all the things outside. I even have a list of fire locations.

In the Crystal Hall, that is where the bonfire is inside the Exodar, where you can do the torch throwing at the braziers and the torch catching.
