It's amazing how fast the winter goes! I don't have a croft, but I do have another job too - fortunately, things here are relaxed enough that my husband is able to do that for me if I'm really busy
Wouldn't happen on the mainland, but island life is, as you say, different.
Hot off the presses is that a certain very large department store chain is interested in some of the things I make - I'm in correspondence with them at the moment. It would mean a very rapid expansion, taking on staff and sourcing funding. Fortunately, there's a large pool of crafters here, and they all work from home, so no premises required, just funding for materials and initial wages. It would be a fantastic opportunity for us if I can negotiate it and pull it off - as of last week or so, there were around 600 people here looking for work and 5 jobs advertised at the job centre
The fingers, toes and everything else are well and truly crossed on that one!
Good luck with yours, Phaheela - I've not had time to learn to quilt yet, although it's on my to do list, along with things like paper making. I live in hope I may actually get to do it some day!
