Menu Selection Macro - Crafting

Sorry if I missed this in my search-
Is there a way to macro menu selections i.e Use Tool Kit, craft item, etc?

UOA does it but I am on EC only.

Thanks

I'm told it can't be done because the crafting menu isn't accessible in that way on the Enhanced Client side (which is why it looks like Crusty Client). They took some ugly shortcuts with certain menus to unify the code between clients (read: less work for them and less commitment to a new client overall).

I think they need to decide whether UO:Assist is doing something it shouldn't, or EC isn't doing something it should. It's ridiculous that some lone guy years ago wrote a 3rd party app that does something that the current dev team have yet to figure out or allow. That people are willing to pay for it (as much as a booster pack costs) should be some indication that this is a wanted feature.

If you can program UOA to auto-navigate the crafting menus, I'd say that UOA is doing something is SHOULDN'T, not the EC not doing something it should.

Last I checked it was quite doable in UO:Assist but this was well before the retrofitted the Make Number and Make Max buttons to Classic from KR/EC. CC users got the "enhanced" features, EC users got stuck with the crappy unmoddable "classic" gumps.

Just tested it, you can use the Record Macro feature in UO:Assist+CC, use a tool, make menu selections, etc, stop recording. You don't even need to go through the menu structure in the final macro, just delete the recorded submenu selections until you get the item you want. It's basically one of those illegal cursor recording programs.

You used the record macro feature in UOA for this or in EC? (Not sure if I have seen a record macro in EC??) I have had no luck getting UOA to work in EC.

I do have the CC and UOA so it is not the end of the world. It sure would be nice to have a complete 15 minute run through for all my ROT skill checks in the EC. Currently I run the stuff I can macro in EC and then manually click the menu skills before re-starting the macro.

Thanks

Sorry, yes, Record Macro is in UO:Assist + Classic Client and will allow you to access just about any item, skill, or gump in the game. It is identical in function to a mouse recording macro program, which would otherwise be illegal for use with UO.

Personally, I would like to see us able to tear off crafting tiles similar to how we use skill and spell icons. Same for spell selection gumps such as polymorph and animal form. I think this would go a long way toward balancing the issue of Macro Record without robbing the UO:A people and without compromising the EC. UO:A isn't Mythic's responsibility to support, but it would be foolhardy to screw over that mass of users.

I really see no issue with being able to craft two dozen potion kegs in one macro when I can spam a spell 1000 times over in a single training macro.
